Westgate Carr Farm is a small farm, set in 50 acres, much of which is left to nature. Many species of birds frequent the gardens and farm land including Bull Finches, Gold Finches, Gold Crest, Yellow Hammers & even Herons & Little Egrets! Skylarks can be heard & seen above the fields & cottage. Roe deer, badgers & foxes are often seen around the farm & country lane leading to the farm Guests can enjoy our private riverside walk where picnics can be enjoyed on one of the 2 benches overlooking the river. We breed Alpacas & currently have 4 Crias (babies) born in 2017 along with a donkey foal (Flora) Although only 1 mile from Pickering, you can relax in total peace & quiet with no noise or light pollution. Guest access Morgan's Rest enjoys a private garden & guests can walk around the campsite & mown nature trail to the river (chalk stream), returning along the fields in a 'circular" fashion. There is no public access beyond the farmhouse or to the barns etc. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE THE BEDROOM IS VAULTED, MEZZANINE STYLE WITH OPEN STAIRS TO THE GROUND FLOOR.
