Rural RetreatQuiet and isolated

Situated in the shadow of the South Downs National Park on a small rural road with hardly any neighbours our charming cottage is a great place from which to explore the unspoiled open countryside and its many footpaths around us. The nearest street light is two miles away. Owls, deer and the occasional nightingale are the only sounds in the middle of the night The cottage décor is fresh and modern with plenty of parking and a small decking area. Pets are allowed by agreement, email us to ask. The space This is a quiet cottage . Rooms are light and spacious with a modern kitchen/dining room that provides for sociable cooking and dining (seats 4-6). and patio doors that open onto the garden. The reception room is separate, both with digital TV (so the kids can escape!) and good but limited wifi. No fibre cable out here . Efficient central heating means the house is warm in winter but its also well ventilated and cool in summer.There is an upstairs loo and bathroom with large shower downstairs. 2 bedrooms are available; one double- bedded and 2 singles and there is also a brand new double sofa bed in the lounge. The small patio is secluded, fully fenced, and child/pet friendly and great for drinks on a summer evening: count how many species of bird you can hear !. The darkness allows you to watch an impressive array stars on a clear evening and the quiet off street location means a peaceful night's sleep is guaranteed. Please note we have a cat and small dog so any pets must be under your control outside. Guest access Just the property and its parking. Your front door is the limit of your access, beyond that is our private space and not available for you. The keys to your front door are in the lockbox to the left of the door. The code will be given to you once booking is confirmed. You can see nobody if that is important to you. When you leave or go out for the day please do the same in reverse to lock the keys back in the box. Importantly, if you have a dog then it must be kept on a lead outdoors for two reasons. We don't want our cat chased and there is local rail line nearby and we wouldn't want your dog out testing the fence for holes to explore ! Outside the property there are miles of countryside for them to roam free in . Other things to note Note: our prices may seem 15pct more expensive than some local properties. I assure you they are not!! Airbnb has changed its pricing model so you see the full price including their 15pct fee upfront. Not when you go to check out. We run a psychotherapy practice in the main house so please try to keep as far from this area unless there is an emergency. Only approach house down brick path as the therapy rooms are to left side of house near you.
