A king-sized room in a modern non-smoking house, solar-powered, off-street parking, EV charging (add. cost), & space for bikes. Close to South Downs, Eastbourne and Lewes. My home is a quiet place; perfect for workers & tourists who are out all day, wanting a peaceful place to unwind & sleep. Not suitable for guests likely to spend most of their time at home. Due to the house layout, it's not suitable for those returning back late at night or making calls after 10pm. You can find this here: after .co . uk add /h/taohouse2 The room includes a king a bed with a memory foam mattress, Smart TV, chest of drawers & hanging space, lamps and black-out curtains and blinds. There is tea making facilities downstairs in the UT Room as well as a fridge-freezer and microwave combi oven/grill. A small basic selection of crockery / cutlery is supplied and you can sit at the dining table (in my kitchen-diner) to eat. Use of my kitchen is not permitted. It's a very peaceful household and I get up early even at the weekends, so I do ask for quiet after 10pm (11pm Fri/Sat) - so no returning home, late night phone calls, showers or loud TV after this time. For this reason, people who are arriving home late at night or from parties and festivals would not be suited to this household as all the bedrooms are on the same floor. I also have a ‘snug’ and garden that you can use but please ask first. There is strictly no smoking in my house or garden. If I’m around and not too busy, I am much more flexible with our shared spaces and often will invite guests to join me for a drink and make you feel at home… especially for those booking longer stays. Guest access My kitchen is not for guest use, unless you have booked a long stay and we have discussed it in advance. You may store items in the out-building such as kayaks, bikes, wet and walking gear. During your stay I work from home and like to be here to greet you when you arrive so it's important to agree an approx. arrival time. You'll almost certainly be greeted by my very friendly cat, Kira too but she likes her own space so she won't bother you. I tend to reply immediately if I'm at my desk or within an hour or two if not. I am very quiet but equally happy to chat and be sociable. You'll have a key for your stay. I can give you lots of advice on walking and cycling trails, places to eat (or takeaways), and other local information. Other things to note I do not want people working from home, or being here all the time during their stay. It does not suit my lifestyle.
