Description
This is a simple furnished basement apartment with a private entrance. Two rooms: a fully equipped kitchenette, laundry, shower AND a bedroom with a high quality queen bed, antique table &chairs, and cute little couch. We live in the house above. Our house is one of those sweet old houses (1906) in South Minneapolis. We are within walking distance of Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska (formerly Lake Calhoun), and many great restaurants and coffee shops. This is a cozy place to stay in the winter! The space There's an armoire to hang your clothes. Good quality sheets, down comforter, and extra blankets. It's cozy, private, and clean. The space has its own thermostat to control the radiator heat. It is delightfully warm and dry. The easement window looks out on our pleasant yard and garden and provides a nice breeze. There is no air conditioning, but a fan is provided in the summer months. Guests have noted that in the bedroom there are several places where the ceiling is low. The facade of the ceiling covers the plumbing, and someone who is 6 feet tall has to duck to get past those areas....! Free internet. The bathroom area (toilet and sink) is separated from the kitchenette, laundry, and shower, by a curtain. The entire kitchenette/bathroom/laundry is one room, with a door and hallway which separate it from the bedroom. When two people share the space, a person can have private use of the bathroom/kitchenette by closing the door that closes off that whole area. Guest access You'll have your own access-- a well-lit side entrance is all yours to come and go. Free parking is available on the street. You check in on your own, and we say hello if we are around. We are available by text or call also. Other things to note The Kingfield neighborhood is nice! You can walk to get homemade doughnuts! How about organic sushi? We are close to Victor's 1959 (Cuban) cafe, or Rincon 38, or The Grand Cafe. All right down the street. There are several craft breweries nearby! And... we're within walking distance to Lake Harriet and Bde Maka Ska (formerly Lake Calhoun). Both of these lakes have paved walking and biking trails around them, as well as beaches, benches to sit on, and lawn areas. There's a bird sanctuary and rose garden on the way to Lake Harriet. Easy access to Uptown and Downtown. Near the bus lines. The Nice Ride bikes are available 4 blocks away. Come visit soon! Registration Details LIC-363828
