Farm stay: Riverview Cottage, The Bend Eco Estate

The cottage is situated 13kms outside Nottingham Road on the Loteni Road and a further 7km along a gravel road. It is a free-standing home on a 600 hectare Trout and Nature Estate offering fresh air, scenic walks, trout fishing, mountain biking, and relaxing all year round. Free roaming Zebra and Blessbok on the Estate. The space Great for fly fishing, mountain biking, walking, game spotting and just relaxing. A little piece of heaven. Riverview Cottage is a free standing home on this 600 hectare Trout and Nature Estate. There are well stocked trout dams and river fishing (during fishing season). Trout fishing policy and regulations are available from the owners. By using a number of walking/hiking trails (forest walk) you can view many a bird and a few game which call this place home. The cottage sleeps 9 people, so is ideal for two families. There are four bedrooms. Two downstairs, which have queen sized beds and own en-suite bathrooms. Bathrooms consist of bath, shower, basin and toilet. The upstairs bedrooms are loft rooms, which accommodate three people in single and two in 3/4 beds. These bedrooms share a bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. Riverview Cottage has a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area which opens out onto an enormous veranda through sliding folding doors which wraps around the cottage and framing panoramic views. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a gas stove and hob, dishwasher, microwave and 2 fridge/freezers. A gas braai is also available for your use on the veranda. In the lounge area, there is a large indoor fireplace which is designed with braai facilities. This is fabulous on those cold winter/rainy days! A full package DSTV is available for your convenience. No need to bring your own smartcard. There is newly built Padel and Pickle courts for guests to hire per hour. As The Bend is an Eco estate no domestic animals are allowed on the Estate. Weather conditions can dictate dirt road conditions and a high clearance vehicle is recommended. Guest access Guests are free to roam the Estate - obviously giving privacy to individual houses. Also, welcome to use the Mooi River below and all the dams. Only fly fishing is permitted. Owners cupboards are marked and are not available for access. The storeroom under the house is also not available to guests. Other things to note The cottage is only serviced on a Monday and Friday.
