Welcome to lake Taneycomo! Step back to an era when "I Love Lucy" and "Leave It To Beaver" played on every home in the US. Come stay at Dad's fishing cabin on the Trout oasis of the Ozarks-- Lake Taneycomo. Rockaway Beach, a hidden gem, was the former playground to the Rich and Famous of the 20th century. President Truman, Al Capone and JP Morgan are just a few of the names that vacationed in this resort village. 23 minutes to Silver Dollar City and 19 minutes to the Branson Landing. The space Our goal is to give you the feel of Dad's fishing cabin and Mom's 1950s kitchen. We have modern amenities and vintage décor to give you some 1950s nostalgia with the comfort of a great Airbnb. Here are the specifications on our home: • Kitchen: Full sized appliances- fridge, stove and oven, toaster, and microwave. Coffee station including regular coffee pot, folgers grounds, creamer, sugars, teas, and hot cocoa. We have all the necessary cooking essentials like plates, silverware, bowls, mixing bowls, pots and pans, cups, coffee mugs, cooking utensils, and spices. Dish soap, sponge, and dish drying rack provided. • Bathrooms: Full bathroom with shower that has shampoo, conditioner, and soap for your use. Half Bath with toilet and sink in the kids room. Two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom per stay. Plenty of bath towels, hand towels, and washrags available. • Living Room: Four chairs and a loveseat are guest ready. Two chairs are a rocking chair. For entertainment we have a TV with cable and streaming services. We also have a vintage card table with several games. There is central AC and heat, but we also have several fans for your use. • Bedroom: The main bedroom has two medium- firm queen beds decorated comfortably with soft linens and blankets in a bright airy room overlooking the lake. There is a dividing curtain between the two beds for more privacy. Dresser has extra blankets and space for you to unpack or use the suitcase rack. Four nightstands offer lighting and plug ins for everyone. • For the Kiddos: Second bedroom has three twin bunks with linens and blankets for each. Television with DVD and Netflix. Kid books. There are extra blankets in the white cupboard. One pack n play stored under one queen bed for infants. • Outdoor Space: We are right on the banks of Lake Taneycomo. There is a large deck and patio table with 6 chairs for your enjoyment of the fresh air. There is a private, year-round hot tub off the porch! The hot tub must stay between 100 and 104. The house shares dock, charcoal grill, and fire pit with the smaller cabin on the property. Please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid for the grill. Dock is open year round for guests to fish, dock your boat, or hang out watching local wildlife. We have several kayaks for you to use and lifejackets for all. Please be advised that all lake activities are at your own risk. We are currently renting our 8 person pontoon out of this dock! There may be boat guests utilizing the dock and parking. If you’d like to book our pontoon, please message us!! • Pets: We allow pets to stay for a small fee. This is to help offset the cost of cleaning, but does not include any costs from pet damage. Pets must be supervised. They can not be left alone. They must stay off of the furniture and beds. They must be in a kennel when you are not there. They must be on a leash outside to protect them and any others on property. Please pick up poo so other guests don’t step in it. • Special Events Package: While we do not allow large gatherings or unapproved guests, we do want to help make your stay as special as possible. If you are staying for a special event like a birthday, wedding, or anniversary, we would love to help you prep for it! We now offer a special events package that includes cake, card, and some decor. This package is $50 and all items will be set up in the airbnb prior to check in. To receive this package, please message us and we will need to know favorite colors/ cartoon characters for the kiddos, cake flavor, and anything you want written on the card or to leave it blank for you. We will verify the amount of guests (to ensure we have enough cake!) and will ask for payment so we can get these items for you. Surprise your guests with a wonderful event package on your next vacation! Guest access There is a second smaller cabin on the property that may also be rented. Both cabins share parking, dock, fire pit, and charcoal grill. There are several kayaks and a canoe for your use. They are in the parking area. Please be aware that these are shared with the other cabin and that other guests may want to utilize all our amenities. Quiet hours: midnight- 7 AM. Please be aware that other guests are on property. If you are outside during quiet hours, you need to be quiet so you won’t disturb others from their sleep. Guests can access the laundry room. Please reach out for the door code. Please use own detergent and be courteous of housekeeping/ other guests whose items may be in there. Move things from washer to dryer, dryer to basket. Other things to note There is a set of stairs from driveway to front door. This is a residential area so no parties, loud music, or unregistered guests. No smoking in the house. There is a $100 fine if smoke or marijuana is detected in the house.
