Farmhouse barn conversion in Normandy countryside. The space Enjoy a relaxing break in our traditional farmhouse barn conversion overlooking the Vire and Drome Valleys with fantastic views all around. Just 5 minutes from the A84 motorway close to the village of Pont-Farcy, Les Monts is ideally situated for easy access to the attractions of Bayeux, Mont St. Michel, D-Day Beaches, Honfleur and many other places of interest in Normandy and Brittany. We can also cater for those interested in golf, walking, canoeing and cycling, prospective property purchasers or those of you just wanting a quiet break in beautiful countryside. There are 15 golf courses within easy reach which accept guest membership and we are able to hire out equipment. Please note that a car is essential as we are situated in the middle of the Normandy countryside without available public transport. However we can cater for those who wish just to relax and explore the local area and who wish to travel by train. For a small charge we will pick up and return to a local station (about 20 minutes). We are close to the local towns of Vire, Villedieu and St. Lo for all your shopping needs and a maximum of one and a half hours from the ferry ports of Caen, Cherbourg, Le Havre and St. Malo. Discounted fares with Brittany Ferries are available through us. Our accommodation consists of: Bedroom 1 (FR1) - Double room with en-suite shower and toilet. 1 kingsize bed. Bedroom 2 (FR2) - Double/Twin/Family room with en-suite shower and toilet. 1 double and 1 single bed. Our rooms all have tea/coffee making facilities and we can provide a cot, hairdryer, etc. A full buffet style continental breakfast (homemade bread, jams, croissants, fruit cereal, yoghurts, etc.) is served each morning. For a small extra charge we can also provide a special 'Champagne Breakfast' for any special occasion. We can also provide an optional home-cooked Evening Meal using local produce (4 courses and inclusive of aperitif and half a bottle of wine per person). Alternatively you can choose from our light supper menu or we can advise you on the many fine restaurants in the area. Other services include: booking local activities for you, including canoeing on the Vire River; golf at various local courses (including club hire); drop-off and pickup service to local restaurants; babysitting service, etc. Individual D Day Tours can also be arranged. Guest access Guests are welcome to use the dining area in the evening (or outside in the summer) if they wish to eat a cold meal or snack purchased during the day. (Use of kitchen facilities - oven, etc. is not permitted but cutlery, crockery, etc. can be provided.) The family lounge use is by invitation to guests only and to those who are purchasing an evening meal with us. Guests are free to roam and sit in the garden. During your stay We are available both at breakfast and in the evenings to advise on places to visit, good restaurants in the area, etc.
