Turf cottage by famous Múlafossur waterfall

Spógvi Cottage is one of the of the Múlafossur Cottages located in the village Gásadalur on the Faroe Islands. Located in the valley, just a ten minute walk from the famous Múlafossur waterfall, you will always be surrounded by breath-taking nature, birds and wildlife. It is only 15mins away from the airport and 1h from the capitol, making it easy to explore and enjoy all that the Faroe Islands have to offer. The space For many years we - the Lauritsen Family - have dreamt of having a small community of traditional looking wooden cottages - a place for people to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Gásadalur. We currently have six cottages: Tjaldur, Lundi, Spógvi, Terna, Súla and Gás' that were built in 2020-23 by the family-owned company: Foss. While the cottage is small and cosy it comfortably houses up to four people - with room for an additional two people at an extra charge. There is a sofa in the living room downstairs that can be turned into a comfortable sofa bed, and the upstairs loft has two bedrooms, each with two single beds. You will need to climb one set of stairs to reach the upstairs bedrooms. It truly is a place for everyone: families with kids who want to play in the river and friendly surroundings, couples who want to unwind and spend quality time together and adventurers who want to hike and explore. Included in the package deal are wifi, bed sheets, towels and kitchen and bathroom essentials. There is unfortunately not yet a washer dryer on the premises. Finally, there is a 779DKK cleaning fee on top of the total amount. Guest access You will have private access to the entire cottage. There is free parking on the premises. Other things to note The final road leading to the cottage is fairly rocky, but it is possible to reach your final destination by car - parking spots are outside the cottage. There is a guest book in the cottage that will give you further information about the cottage as well as different tips for travelling on the island Vágar. Please let us know before arrival if you need a travel cot and/or highchair for your child.
