The full kitchen area has a laundry and lounge area with TV. King bedroom/ Closet & Antique storage cabinet. *It is perfect for either an extended stay or an overnight stop in your journey. *The lounge area has an extra bed,(couch futon), with a thick mattress can be made into a full bed upon request. It has lots of natural light with room darkening shades as needed. *No one else is booked on property when Cozy Cottage is booked. It is a sectioned off portion of the main guest house. Our other listings are blocked when Cozy Cottage is booked for privacy, so no other guests are on the property at the same time. *You may see us at a distance walking to the barns to check animals. Our home is located in a separate house on property. *When we have an estimate of arrival, we often try to be through with our farm chores before guests arrive for guests to enjoy the outdoor space to themselves. Farm tours are sometimes available if guests are interested in farm-life. Tours are farm donation based which helps with farm upkeep. Entire space listed is yours privately. There is a gravel parking space located in front of a private entrance which is around back behind the main house at the top of the circle drive. RV parking, trailer parking or boat parking can be arranged as well. We have an outdoor area for a fireside chat in good weather conditions. The front porch has two swings, a large yard and beautiful views which are for your private enjoyment. Access to the porch is gained by walking around the side yard by the garden to the front of the main house. It is not booked when Cozy cottage is booked. We give guests the privacy of a vacation home. We tend to the farm and you may see us at a distance walking to the barn to feed and check on animals in the mornings or evenings. Our home is located behind the guest house by the barns. During your visit you may be greeted by Smokey or Bandit our barn cats. We are a couple minutes from Winchester. There is a small grocery, Save A Lot, (5min)away is great for milk & several items. Kroger-(Large grocery), Walmart and several other stores and several restaurants (15min.) Car rentals or taxi service are available. Your choice. My husband, Bill, and I interact as much as our guests so chooses during our work hours. We also give our guests space if they just need to getaway and have family time and relax . We love to host and make sure you have everything you need as well as showcase farm life. Our home is located on the property in a separate house. You may see us walking to or from the barn caring for various animals. *Our community is located in between some of the world's most amazing natural beauty in Kentucky's Red River Gorge and the exciting city buzz of Lexington. *Cozy Cottage is located at the start of one of Kentucky's Scenic Drives on Rt. 15. It is surrounded by our farm. *It is only a few minutes from the interstate I64 intersecting with I75. *A few minutes from downtown Winchester with easy access to both interstates I64 & I 75. The farm has many spaces for parking. Our town has a car rental service not far from our home approx. 9miles, Enterprise Car Rental. There are local taxi services. We are also 20 to 25 minutes from Lexington which has several services. 1. We have friends in the local area close to our Airbnb that board family pets if you need a place to bring them. However, prior arrangements must be made when booking and pets boarded before check-in. Contact us for information. 2. We have a working cattle dog on the property. Jip is not heard overnight in the main house. The large front yard & porch can be enjoyed at All times. We want each guest to feel welcome and free to enjoy the outdoors. Jip our heeler is a one family dog very protective. She is not in contact with guests on property. We can introduce her on a leash. She is a typical farm dogs and does not like to be petted by strangers. She roams free when guests are not on property. 3. We use zipped mattress protectors in conjunction with washable fitted mattress protectors along with antimicrobial sheets to help our guests enjoy a more sanitary and comfortable night's sleep. 4. There is not an ice maker in the freezer. 5. We have bottled water, coffee, tea & hot chocolate along with snack amenities upon arrival to help you relax from your travels.
