This cabin is in the village of Alto Pass, in the Shawnee National Forest and along the Southern IL wine trail. Adjacent to a Victorian home, it is a separate cottage, renovated in 2017-18, with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, washer/dryer, fully-equipped kitchen, dining/living area, TV (Amazon/wifi), and deck with views of woods and valley. (The couch's foot rests work by plugging in the couch and are in good working condition.) High-speed internet is available in the cabin and around the property. Guests have access to the entire cabin which includes laundry. Guests check in with a key pad and code. We are available by phone or text and a local property manager is available for urgent issues. The home is in “downtown” Alto Pass but situated on 4 wooded acres. Within walking distance to hiking/biking trails and rock climbing. Less than a mile to the nearest winery. Duty's Country Store is within walking distance and has basics plus a sandwich shop. If you are arriving late, bring the groceries and supplies you need since this is a rural area. This cabin is in a rural setting so animal sightings are possible! Bug spray is provided but you will want to take precautions to avoid bugs and animals - avoid leaving food outside on the back deck.
