Birch Bay Beach Cabana

Easy, Breezy & Carefree...small spaces make for big smiles The Cabana is a short walk to the beach and a 10min drive to the US/Can border. The location is convenient to everything in NW Washington. The space is simple, clean, and modern with amenities selected for your convenience. While the Cabana does not have facilities ensuite a full bathroom is just steps away in the main house. Spectacular views of the Bay, San Juan's & Vancouver Island are waiting for you on the back patio. I want all guests who stay with me to know that they are welcomed. Please know that my home is, and will always be, a safe place where everyone is treated with kindness and respect regardless of religion, gender, race or sexual orientation. The Cabana is an ideal base from which to explore Birch Bay/Blaine, Bellingham, and all of NW Washington and British Columbia. The Canada/US border is a short 10-minute drive. The Cabana is situated on a beautifully landscaped property near the beach with scenic views. Guests are able to enjoy the grounds day or night. The property is private, quiet, and secluded yet centrally located so you are never too far from anything. The owner lives on-site, is a long-time resident, and is happy to provide area information, recommendations, and general area information. All you need to do is just ask! The Cabana is a relatively small space. Ideal for one or two people (Children up to age 5 may stay in addition to two adults and are free) A great way to experience Birch Bay is on two wheels or by paddling around in the bay's warm waters. We offer complimentary bicycles and kayaks (kayaks have a modest fee & include delivery/pickup @beach). Rental details are included in the house manual or ask your host. The Cabana is clean, comfortable, cozy, and a perfect place for you to stay while enjoying the recreation, entertainment, events, and sights the area offers. We hope to see you soon at the Birch Bay Beach Cabana The Cabana itself and the hallway of the main house that leads to the bathroom. The bathroom is just a few steps from the Cabana. It is technically "shared" but there is only one other person (the host) who only occasionally uses that bathroom, it is reserved for Cabana guests. You may also access the patio area in the back of the main house. We kindly ask you to use the patio only and not the deck or areas beyond the block wall and please do not feed the Koi. Someone is here to help almost all the time but we allow you complete privacy unless you indicate otherwise. In the event of an urgent problem please use my phone number to call/text. Airbnb messaging is not checked as frequently between the hours of 12am and 7am. The Cabana is located on a ridge above the beach in a residential neighborhood. It is near the world-famous C Shoppe and a 10 minute walk to one of three public beaches There are the typical noises from neighborhood activities (dogs, lawnmowers, cars) but it is generally a very quiet and peaceful area. The adjacent homes are almost exclusively occupied by full-time residents so there isn't a noticeable change in the summer months as you can find in other parts of Birch Bay. It is located directly beside the Cabana and is clearly marked with a sign that says "Cabana Guest Parking". *******Same Day Reservations******** We happily take same-day reservations and often accommodate travelers who need a place to stay last minute. However, check-in time may be later than 4 pm particularly if you book close to 4p. It can take up to an hour to ready the unit for a new guest. During the summer travel season, we get busy and sometimes must ask for your patience as we get the space cleaned and ready. We will get you checked in just as quickly as we can. Once we send a message with your door code this tells you that the Cabana is ready for you to check in. Feel free to contact me by text or phone call if you have questions or concerns.
