Cottage in Olney, wonderful market town

We are in the beautiful, bustling market town called Olney which is very lively throughout the day and then very quiet after midnight. Our lovely Grade 2 listed house is 400 years old, with many character features . It is stone built, making it cosy in the Winter and ice cool in the Summer. It has 6 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 staircases and a peaceful, huge and gorgeous garden at the rear. The house is ideal for families/children/friends/hens/ groups of guys working away. The space There is free, very efficient and unlimited Fast Full Fibre wifi. In Winter a huge sack of logs is provided for the log burner in the lounge and there are local places up the road for you to obtain further supplies during your stay if required. Please note there is a Smart TV but no Netflix provided. A travel cot and high chair remain in the house at all times for little ones. Please bring baby bedding with you. All other bed linen and towels are provided. Two bedrooms actually connect to each other so really great for being close to babies and young children or the dividing door can be closed and bolted one side for completely separating the bedrooms into private space. One of the bedrooms is on a private mezzanine level. The bedroom door opens and there are then just 6 stairs up so it is great for those not wanting many stairs to climb. The ground floor shower and toilet is at the bottom of these stairs also. The other two bathrooms are on the first floor, one bathroom has a roll top bath with basin and toilet and the other bathroom has a bath, toilet and double basins. The kitchen has everything for comfortable self catering, with an abundance of crockery, cutlery, glasses and cooking utensils. There is a huge cafetiere and ground coffee. Tea towels/dishcloths/dish tabs/washing up liquid/bin liners/salt/pepper are all supplied and a good stock of toilet rolls and soaps in the bathrooms. Anything that is not listed above you will need to bring. No cleaning sprays or bleach will be in the house due to most groups having children. The garden is huge and amazing in that it changes from week to week as new flowers come into season. Large gas Bbq is available ( gas supplied), for the Summer months of start of May until end of Sept only please note. The driveway takes 3 cars, depending on their size and there is plenty of on street parking too. At the end of our road, two minutes walk away, is our lovely market town called Olney where you will find 4 pubs, 12 restaurants, umpteen takeaways and about another 12 coffee shops, plus delicatessens and all sorts of boutique type shops to discover and browse. Then just beyond this you can walk around the lake at Emberton and you will be in the country. The house will be lovely and warm for your arrival, with heating set at 20 degs continuously from 6am right through until 11-30pm for your cosy winter breaks so that you have nothing to programme or work or worry about. The house is so well insulated with enormously thick stone walls that heat does not escape. We will always be delighted to adjust to a higher or lower temperature should you request this as we are just 4 doors away. Very close and fast access to Milton Keynes, Woburn, Bedford, Northampton and Silverstone. Other things to note We will do everything we possibly can, to help with any of your requests during your stay. But if you ask to arrive early or depart later than 10am on departure day this is impossible for us to grant as we need the 5 hours to service the house, ready for the next arrivals at 3pm. It really is a huge house to get ready, thank you : - ) Sorry no hot tub hire is permitted .
