Cottage on the Noisy River/Blue Mountain/Wasaga

*new cleaning staff as of August 2025*Nestled in the forest of the Nottawasaga conservation land is this perfect little cottage on the river. Running water, air conditioning, fishing, tubing, bonfires and hiking the 14 acres that this property has to offer. Only 20 min drive from Blue Mountain and less then 10 min from Devils Glenn. During summer visit Wasaga beach which is 20 km away or take a short 4 min drive into old historic downtown Creemore and explore the original craft brewery. The space The space is cozy and lush, whether you are a beach goer, into hiking, fishing, skiing or just relaxing this cottage has much to offer. Bring a tent along and camp outside along the river or in the forest. Guest access Private entrance over the bridge and down the drive where you can easily park several vehicles. Keypad entry with code provided for check in. In the winter depending on the amount of snow fall you will need at minimum good snow tires but preferably 4 wheel drive. The driveway is plowed after heavy snow but if you are unsure it is safe then please park horizontal across the top of the driveway and walk down to the cottage. There will be 2 salt and sand containers at the top of the hill and end of the bridge for guest access. For your additional convenience we have provided a snow blower on site that can easily be used to keep the driveway clear if the Plow has not yet made their way up. Instructions will be left to operate the snow blower. I myself cook with the tap water and brush my teeth. I have had many drink the water as it is a spring fed well with zero issues however I do purchase water for drinking and filling the coffee machines so use at your own discretion. Propane tank is included for use and can be refilled at many locations within a 5 minute drive if it happens to run out. Smoking/vaping is permitted OUTSIDE ONLY , please use the ashtrays available, all cigarette butts are to be collected and removed or burned outside in the fire pit. There is a fire-pit available for use, Fire wood can be purchased up the road at jug city, foodland or Esso if it’s later in the night. Please adhere the local burn bans if they are in effect. Check the website www.clearview.ca for the fire ratings. If there happens to be an issue of any kind with the water or heat someone can be on site within 2-4 hours to repair. The kitchen is equipped with a new blender for smoothies or blended beverages. There is a microwave, toaster and kettle, French press or Keurig mini brew that has reusable pods or bring your own to enjoy your favourite morning pick me up! There is also a Nespresso on site that uses the Vertuo pods to enjoy an espresso, latte or cappuccino during your stay. I recommend ordering your pods before your visit as you cannot purchase them anywhere nearby. Wifi is included up to 20 gigabytes per a weekly stay. Netflix’s can be accessed on the main television through the DVD player. When the menu appears press over to the right “premium” button which will make Netflix available. The first aid kit is located inside the mudroom. Please clean and cover the BBQ after use as not to attract animals. We also have a germ guard air purifier in the cottage that cleans allergens and bacteria’s in the air. If you use it clean it, if you’re not sure where it goes back then please leave it on the island. There is a compost bucket under the sink, no meat or dairy can be put in the compost bin by the shed please as this will attract wildlife that you would likely prefer not to have close interactions with. The green municipal bin atop the roadway can handle all your compost waste. If you require a broom or mop they are located in the mudroom, dirty mop water can me flushed down the toilet. The local fire department is within 5km of the cottage and a fire extinguisher is located in the mudroom. There are 911 signs posted If there is an emergency direct the medical responder to follow the road left after crossing the bridge. In the winter depending on the amount of snow fall you will need at minimum good snow tires but preferably 4 wheel drive. The driveway is plowed after heavy snow but if you are unsure it is safer to park horizontal on the shoulder of county rd 9 without blocking the driveway for when the plow does arrive and walk down to the cottage. Again we have a snow plow and gas can on site if you wish to clear any area until the plow arrives. Be safe and enjoy your stay!
