Stareton Cottage near Stoneleigh

Stareton Cottage is a lovely two bedroomed house, with it's own walled courtyard garden, furnished to a high standard, with views over an open field. It is very private, within walking distance to the NAC, less than ten minutes in a car to Leamington and Warwick University, fifteen to Warwick & twenty minutes to Stratford upon Avon. On the edge of open parkland, you can walk or run without meeting a car and you are welcome to use our 10 acres of beautiful private virgin woodland. The space Stareton Cottage is full of character, in the middle of the hamlet with its own drive, independent entrance and parking for a couple of cars - it is attached to the side of the main house. It overlooks a field which is home to a small newly planted orchard. You go straight into the kitchen, which is fitted to a high specification. It has hand painted shaker cabinets, a Miele oven, Smeg hob and dishwasher, a fridge, a microwave and a Hotpoint washing machine. There is a Nespresso machine as well as Sophie Conran crockery, John Lewis pans, wine and champagne glasses, etc. It is well equipped. The kitchen has a large dining table that seats four and looks out into the courtyard garden and the field opposite. There is a Mothercare Booster with tray, suitable for children up to three years or 15Kg. The kitchen also has a chest with cushions and candles for outside. The walled garden is small, but is fully enclosed and has a table with chairs for four, a gas fired Kitchenaid bbq as well as a bench and a couple of occasional seats. The lovely sitting room has been decorated and furnished to a high standard, with sofa, occasional seating and a wood burner for chillier days. There is a TV with a DVD player as well as Apple TV enabling you to log into your Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. There is fast broadband, but also a writing bureau with basic stationary. We have a good range of DVD films for adults and children and the cupboard in the sitting room has a number of kids games. There is a bluetooth speaker for music. The stairs lead off the sitting room and are steep, so there is a child gate for parents with young children. The main bedroom has a 'And So to Bed' Super King Manoir Socle bed, Roberts radio and ample storage. The second bedroom is smaller but still has a comfortable double bed, Roberts radio and storage. There is a characterful bathroom with walk in shower as well as a full sized bath. All the linen and towels are from 'White Company'. There is a John Lewis children's travel cot. The cottage is powered with 100% renewable electricity. Guest access Guests have access to the whole cottage, the private courtyard and are also welcome to go into our beautiful private virgin woodland. This extends to about ten acres, has its own small stream and a number of very large old oaks which are hundreds of years old. There is extensive parkland behind the cottage for walks, running, etc. The lanes around Stareton are quiet and good for cycling.
