Escape to my affordable oceanfront duplex that has stunning oceanfront views. Since I became sole owner of the East side of my duplex I have been doing updates every year. I have had almost the entire duplex painted from a tired yellow to soothing blue tones. I have put in new appliances, furniture, granite counter tops, resurfaced the tubs, put in a kitchen tiled backsplash, added LED lighting in the kitchen and under the countertops, changed out light fixtures in bathrooms, put in new vanities, put in a new air compressor, and many other updates. This year an addition has been started to add another bathroom so the house will a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom duplex. The contractors are also building a new laundry upstairs in the house. The addition is expected to be completed mid April. The home has a bright, airy, cottage feel and is a perfect place to relax. Admire the view from the inside or step outside onto the covered porch to catch an oceanfront breeze sitting in one of the 4 rocking chairs on the deck. There is also a dune landing steps from the beach with a bench and more outstanding views. Due to Emerald Isle's restricted off street parking the beautiful beaches are never crowded. Amenities also include hi-speed wireless service, outdoor shower and washer/dryer. There will access to two washer and dryers. The one inside the house as well as a shared one downstairs under the main living area. The kitchen which has been completely remodeled since 2021 with new updates every year is very well stocked. There is blender, mixer, electric can opener, small electric food chopper, electric griddle, lots of pots and pans, lots of bowls, etc. I recently had the popcorn ceiling removed and dimmer cam lighting installed as well as a back splash and pull out drawers in the bottom cabinets. The doors were all removed and freshly "shot painted". Besides having a new laundry room upstairs inside of the house my guests have access to the downstairs shared laundry room. You may not choose to use the laundry room downstairs, but this room also contains some boogie boards and other beach gear that either side of the duplex can use. I keep some beach toys inside of the house under the stairs in a large plastic container as well. Additional Information: Emerald Isle's unique location affords homes on the island both beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Our home is located at the end of a no-through street so there is no traffic. The house is located minutes from restaurants, shopping, golf, kayaking, movie theaters, fishing, biking, water slide parks, pickleball, tennis, basketball courts, an aquarium and many other activities. Other interests in the area include visits to historic Beaufort, Fort Macon, Swansboro, 1/2 or full day trips to Hammocks Beach State Park or Cape Look Out. (Both of these islands do not have any homes or commercial development and have great shelling.) Rentals are Sunday-Sunday. There is a no smoking policy and no pets are allowed. You must be at least 25 years old to rent the property. Prices listed are for weekly rentals. Nightly rentals are available off season or last minute during prime season if a week opens up. Note: Rates are subject to change without notice until confirmed. I am always happy to give my guests information on area restaurants and local spots to see.
