Welcome to The Schiller House, a Bed & Beverage! Originally a stable for the Main House (our other listing), the Garden Cottage was built new in 2007 and has since been stylishly designed as a relaxing, private retreat in the BEST location in Hermann's historic district. • 500 sq ft private suite with King bed, seating area and kitchenette • happy hour drinks upon arrival • outdoor spaces: a covered patio with bistro table & chairs, as well as a spacious yard and patio with chiminea for fires • amazing location a short walk to shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, museums, a winery, brewery, distilleries and the Amtrak Station • Hermann Trolley picks up in front of the house for winery touring The Garden Cottage comfortably sleeps 2 guests. In front of the cottage is the Main House, which is rented separately and sleeps 6. • Plush King sized bed • 55" Smart TV (you can log in to your streaming service accounts, no cable) • Cozy seating area overlooks the garden • Kitchenette with sink, mini-fridge/freezer and microwave, as well as a Keurig coffee maker, and some kitchen basics • Bathroom with walk-in shower, heated tile floor and amenities by Beekman 1802 • Pets allowed for $25 fee per night The Garden Cottage is equipped with a keyless entry. Your access code will be sent to you prior to your arrival, making self check-in simple and easy. Located in front of the cottage is our Main House, which we rent separately from the Garden Cottage. A patio with chiminea is between the two and because there is also a fire pit in front of the house, we prefer main guests to use it, saving the back area for the cottage guests. If you make friends and want to share it or don't see anyone else using it, feel free :) We also own Vinchester Inn (11-room hotel) and The Fancy Pheasant (a general store), both a block away. We are just a text or call away if you need anything (big or small)! • 0.3 miles from the Amtrak train station • 2.9 miles from the Katy Trail McKittrick Trailhead • Hermann Trolley picks up right in front of house • Free street parking is available on Schiller St. We are located next door to the German School Museum, which has a 130 year old clock tower bell. It chimes every hour, on the hour, depending on the time. (2 chimes at 2am, 3 chimes at 3am, etc.). Many of our guests find it charming, but if you are sensitive to noise, you may not. We do have ear plugs available in case you need them.
