The space Gardener's Cottage is a self contained property with a country cottage feel with all the amenities that you would expect in a four star property. The woodburner is a central feature of the lounge, whilst the cottage has a separate dining area close to the kitchen. Guest access Gardener's Cottage has its own off road parking and cottage garden. The local pub is a 4 minute walk down the hill serving good beers and food. The sister village of Compton is 1 mile along a roadside footpath or across the fields behind the cottage. There are miles and miles of footpaths and bridleways for those who wish to see the countryside, which is well worth doing. Other things to note Many attractions are close by including Goodwood horseracing, Goodwood motor circuit, Chichester, the beaches at Wittering, Portsmouth and the dock yard, West Dean and the Open Air museum and Arundel Castle and wetlands. A number of National Trust properties are within an easy drive including Uppark and Petworth House. There are a number of golf courses who take guests including Cowdray, Goodwood, Rowlands Castle and Petersfield. Previous guests have taken trips to the Isle of Wight, New Forest, London and Brighton. Stansted House is a pleasant walk through the woods where there is a tea room and lovely gardens to sit in, plus a fabulous and well stocked farm shop.
