This apartment is situated 7 miles from main town of Kirkwall - adjacent to the Churchill Barriers and the beautiful, famous Italian Chapel. A postoffice, shop, pub/restaurant (temporally closed), small gallery are close.The property is two minutes from the shore with access to St.Marys walk and a woodland walk around the Lock of Ayre, ideal for dog walkers. There's trout fishing permitted on on the Loch 5 minutes from appartment The space This self contained apartment with easy wheelchair access from the rear can sleep up to 6 people. There is a twin room, a double bed settee in the main siting/dining area and a screened off boxed bunk beds sleeping area and a space for a fold up zbed. A small well equipped dining/ kitchen area. A good sized shower room. A lovely bijou walled “sit ootery" to relax and read after a busy day sightseeing. Guest access The ground floor apartment is completely self contained with access directly to garden/patio and of course the shingly beach two minutes away. There is also a small play park facility nearby for the kids, completely safe and away from traffic. During your stay As the owner and a local artist with gallery, I have my own private apartment and business as part of the same building and I am always available, if needed, to provide advice and help to make the most of your holiday. Other things to note Airsource heating is provided. There is also working studio space which can be made available for rent within a separate agreement for any travelling artists, tuition can also be available by prior arrangement. Parking is available at the rear of the building or at the seafronts where there’s lay-by parking. You will have access to St. Marys Walk, an hour long coastal route, 2 minutes away where you can view a range of seabirds also seals. A safe and Ideal space to walk your dog.
