The Writer's Studio

Built as a writer's retreat, the Writer's Studio, sits in the grounds of a Georgian townhouse, in the heart of a traditional English village. A pub around the corner, village shop a few doors away and rolling countryside for walks are all you need for a relaxed break. 35 minutes from historic cathedral city of Lincoln and rail links to London, York & Edinburgh make it an ideal base for visitors to explore some of the best of the UK’s towns, cities and sights. The space The Writer's Studio sits in the garden of The Lodge, in Folkingham Market Place. It comprises of a living room/kitchen-dinner, where you will find your double sofa bed. In your kitchenet, you will find a small fridge, a microwave-oven and a 2 hob electric stove. It also has a big bedroom with a king size bed and a single bed (kept under the bed but it can be assembled upon request) The bathroom has a bath (no shower), a sink and a toilet. Outside, you will have your own courtyard, but feel free to have a wander in the garden where the cats will meet you. Penelope, a fluffy nosy calico girl, will be happy to make a new friend. The Studio is best suited for 4 people, but it can also accommodate a family of 5 (little children or teens who don't mind sharing a sofa bed) Guest access You'll get an automated email on the morning of your check in with details of how to enter the Studio. Other things to note In the winter, we sell wood for the wood burner (£5 a basket) - you can also purchase wood from the village shop or bring your own.
