Idyllic Grade 2* listed rural limestone cottage in the grounds of a lodge to Burton Hall, set in 1.8 acres of mature woodland. Wood-burning stove and seasoned logs included; well equipped kitchen. Located close to the historic cathedral city of Lincoln and it's university and ten minutes drive from the Lincolnshire Showground. The space The cottage is a tastefully converted estate building, built of local limestone. It is situated in the grounds of, and completely separate from, Dunster Lodge, which was built in 1868 as a lodge for Burton Hall. All buildings including the cottage are Grade 2* listed. A floor plan is included in the gallery of images, and shows the layout and size. The cottage is fully equipped with a modern kitchen and appliances (including washer, dishwasher, four ring gas hob, built-under oven and extractor fan), set at one end of the living area. There are plenty of pots and pans, utensils and crockery. Coffee making equipment includes Nespresso machine (with a few capsules!), and Mocha express machines. There is a drop-leaf table and four folding chairs in addition to two other wooden dining chairs. The other part of the living area has comfortable seating, television with terrestrial Freeview channels and DVD player, and Charnwood EcoDesign wood-burning stove. In addition to a comfortable double bedroom (Note: the bed is 4 feet wide), there is a "corridor" bedroom with a single bed. Modern shower-room with WC and wash basin, heated towel rail and additional wall heater. Each room is heat is by thermostatic electric wall heaters, in addition to the wood-burning stove (seasoned logs included). Hot water is via an immersion heater. No additional charge for electricity. Guest access Guests have a completely independent cottage and access to most of the 1.8 acres of grounds. There are beehives, some visible from the cottage, and some others behind woods to the rear of the cottage. There is ample parking beside cottage, near the stables (no horses). Other things to note We will provide a breakfast welcome package, including tea, coffee, milk, bacon, eggs, bread and butter. We will leave a few Nespresso capsules for the machine, and there are also Mocha express machines, and a cafetière. There are basic condiments and olive oil. Our beehives give us the chance to offer complimentary honey to guests! There is a Bose Sound Dock and an DAB/FM radio. Broadband is via 4G and is reliable, runnning at 30-40 mbs. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Everything will be prepared in compliance with Airbnb Covid-19 recommendations.
