This sweet home is located in the Ancient Cathar village of Aigne in the Herault, a natural park preserve just north of the Pyrenees Mountains and near the famous medieval castle city Carcassonne. A carriage house in ancient times, the house has been beautifully renovated while preserving the ancient walls and fixtures so you can enjoy the authentic and rustic charm of the house while living with all the comforts of a modern home. Tucked into a quiet stone courtyard you can luxuriate in the privacy of this elegant home. Just outside the courtyard you are only steps away from the historical village walk, a gourmet restaurant which focuses on dishes made from area products and the village wineries. The small house is perfect for a romantic get-away. If friends stop by for a visit there is also a couch upstairs which makes into a comfortable double bed. There is a low ceilinged mezzanine loft above the kitchen which is perfect for storing luggage, shopping and personal items but also has a double bed which is fun for kids.
