For a treat, try: • The Pig in the South Downs (Madehurst, 2.5 miles) – tucked away and full of charm • The Boathouse, Amberley – a Mediterranean gem with river views A Final Note for Walkers The South Downs can get muddy, especially in cooler months, so we recommend packing walking boots or wellies if you plan to explore the trails. Guest access Guests have their own private entrance to “The Hideaway” via the shared driveway of the main house. A short path and a few paved steps lead directly to your double doors. We live in the main house, about 20 metres away, so we’re nearby if you need anything but we’ll always respect your privacy. Other things to note This is a family home, shared with our teenage children, an energetic Border Collie and a friendly cat so you may occasionally hear the natural sounds of life nearby. The parking area is shared, so we do pass by The Hideaway to access the main house, but we’ll always do our best to ensure your stay feels relaxed, peaceful and private. We also ask guests to be mindful of our lovely neighbours and respect the quiet enjoyment of their homes — just as we do.
