Cosy stone cottage retreat near Saltaire

Enjoy a peaceful stay near the UNESCO World Heritage site of Saltaire in our country retreat home. Our cosy cottage is located down a small private road on an island between a river and canal. It still has it's period features but has been recently refurbished and fitted with new, mod cons to make sure your stay will be as comfortable as possible. You will have the entire place! The space **In light of the recent developments concerning the COVID-19 outbreak, we are taking extra precautions and measures to ensure the cottage is being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. The health and safety of our guests is important to us, we want you to feel comfortable that extra steps have been taken during this time. As such, check in time is anytime after 5PM, and checkout time any time before 12 midday.** The cottage was once part of a larger house which has since been split up. The little bit that is now 7a used to be the old washhouse, where the laundry was done. You can see remnants of the old drain on the floor in front of the big fireplace and what’s left of the pulley system in the living room. Because of this there is a unique and historic feel to the house. The cottage has recently been decorated, we’ve tried hard to accentuate it’s beautiful features whilst making it a cosy and comfortable place for you to stay. It has private access and a key safe to make your stay as quiet and personal as possible. The living area is open plan with a breakfast bar, bluetooth speakers and fast internet connection. There’s plenty of space to relax and I have a wide range of books and a few games to keep you entertained. We do not own a TV but with such beautiful countryside on the doorstep the cottage can be a retreat from all things tech! The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need including a full oven and hob, fridge, washer/dryer, toaster etc. We provide tea, coffee and sugar for you so you can have a cuppa on arrival and get settled. In the bathroom there is a full bath with shower over, sink and mirror. We provide towels, shampoo and shower gel. In the bedroom there is a king sized bed with a brand new mattress, hanger space to hang your clothes and a desk for you to catch up with any work you may have, or letters you may want to write. There is a private car parking space directly across from the cottage and a small garden space which is a great place to sit out and watch the birds or read a good book if it’s sunny. Guest access You have access to the entire property and both garden spaces during your stay. Please be aware that the back garden is a shared space with my neighbours who have dogs.
