House on beach, Lesvos Nifida, Mytilene beach

A stone cottage once a farm house opposite the beach with a conservatory and an extra independent stone room . It has a BBQ area with a wood fire oven and a large monastery table . Pick your own vegetables, figs, pears, grapes, apples and peaches which are in the garden. Eat on the beach meters away from the house at tradition fish taverns. You can go into the village and have ouzo with locals ,visit the hot springs, go to the salt pit and observe the pink flamingos. The space The house is over a hundred years old and it has been restored to its former glory, with its original fireplaces and tiles. The master bedroom is furnished with antiques, the second bedroom is an independent stone building in the garden with a rustic feel. On request this bedroom can be prepared for guests. This bedroom is for younger people as the bed has a ladder to reach on top. Both beds are on the small side 130cm width and 190cm length. Due to them being antique they made them small. There are two Sofia beds in common rooms, one is outside the main bedroom and the other is connected to the kitchen at the back of the garden. Guest should specify their preference . The second bathroom is in the garden designed for guests to wash of the sand from the beach and easier access seeing most of the time is spent outside. There is a fruit and vegetable garden for our guests . The BBQ area is ideal for dining . A large wooden portable table and chairs can be left on the beach in front of the house for you to enjoy your meals. You can enjoy swimming, fishing , bicycle riding ( bicycles are provided) , surfing (surfboard is also provided) taking a walk into the countryside, meeting locals and eating fresh fish. Further up from Nifida you will find Skala Polichnitos a small fishing village. Go early in the morning to have a great coffee and buy your fresh fish from the fishmongers . The village of Polichnitos has beautiful old stone houses , small shops with local products and caffenia ( a type of restaurant) where locals eat and drink. A must visit. The house is an hour away from Mitilini where the port and airport is. You will need a car to get around. Guest access Our guests have free access to all the property. Other things to note The island of lesbos is mostly known as Mytiline , it is a large island and I would recommend our guests hire a car to see the island or you can take the bus from Mytiline to Polichnitos and from there I can arrange a drive to take you to the house.
