Description

The School House is a homely holiday cottage, with an open fire and a large garden, adjoining the village school in Little Snoring, just 8 miles from the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Perfect for a family holiday: dogs and children encouraged! N.B. The high cleaning fee reflects what we have to pay to get the sheets laundered locally The space This holiday cottage began its life as a family home and we still think of it in this way. We feel that part of its charm lies in the fact that it isn’t like other holiday cottages, instead the character of our extended family is firmly stamped upon it. We want you to feel as comfortable there as we always have. Dogs and children are not only welcome but positively encouraged! You are welcome to use our free WIFI internet access. The cottage sleeps 6: Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a smaller room with bunk beds. Downstairs there is a second double room. It's possible to 'camp' on the sofa in the sitting room upstairs, but be aware that access to the bathroom is through the sitting room, so this is not suited to those wanting either privacy or an early night. Ground Floor Downstairs Bedroom: This is a small and cosy room, with a double bed. Dining Room: This has always been where we tend to spend our evenings eating, drinking, reading, talking and playing cards or board games. There is a large dining table which comfortably seats 8 people. There is also an open fire, often providing the evening’s entertainment, and three comfy, often-fought-over armchairs. Toy Room: Leading off the Dining Room is the toy room. This is a small room, packed with cards and board games for the grown-ups and a variety of toys and games for the children. Kitchen: Through the Dining Room is the Kitchen. We hope you will find everything you need here to cook up a storm. There is an electric hob and oven, a dishwasher, washing machine, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer and all the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery you might want. First Floor Master Bedroom: The principle bedroom has a comfortable double-bed, storage facilities and stunning views out over the garden and the surrounding countryside. Bunk Bedroom: This room has a set of bunk beds, intended for children but perfectly comfortable for adults too. The Through Room: This is an upstairs living room with a large comfortable sofa (can be used as a bed), arm chairs, a TV and DVD player. There is a selection of DVDs. Bathroom: This is a spacious room, complete with toilet, sink, bath/shower and electric-heated towel rail. Outside There is an outside toilet, and two outhouses. One contains coal and wood for the fire, which we ask you to replenish after use. The second, some children’s outdoor toys. You are welcome to use these, but you do so at your own risk. You should also find crabbing equipment, buckets and spades and some outdoor game facilities. Guest access The entire house, garden, and parking space. Other things to note There is no central heating. There is an open fire, storage heaters in each room and a few electric heaters for use as a top up if required.
