A warm, cozy, family owned cabin located in the middle of stunning scenery. Perfect for social distancing ;) Waterfalls, lakes, mountains and open terrain. Fits well for 6 people. There´s a lot to see around the area so we do recommend a few nights! (see "neighborhood" below). Note that the cabin is located in a remote area, about 15-20 min drive from Borgarnes. Also, the premises consist of two houses, 5meters apart, but bathroom in only one. Self cleaning applies so there is no cleaning fee! The cabin is owned by a family where the children grew up running around the hills and woods and warming up to the indoor fire stow while drinking coco. Inside the main cabin are many personal belongings from when the parents and Grandparents grew up and other rustic beautiful things collected through the years. We please ask you to take good care of our beloved cabin while you enjoy your stay. We also highly recommend the outdoor shower (only shower) that was only put up 2 years ago and we absolutely love! And of course the hot tub, also new! All spaces are available to guests except the attic which is used as personal storage. NOTE that the premises are two houses with about 5 meters apart. The main sleeping area is in one house while kitchen and bathroom are in the other. There is a sleeping sofa in the house with the bathroom where guests are of course more than welcome to use! If sleeping in the house with the main sleeping area, and guests need to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, they have to take this short “trip” between houses :) Host is available 24/7 through here or phone but will not be at the premises personally. Around the area you will have beautiful nature, The lake Langavatn is a beautiful walking path from the cabin. But you would need to reserve a whole day since its a long walking path, its also possible to drive there. It is popular to stay there while looking into Snæfellsnes peninsula, going fishing, horseback riding, visit nearby swimming and nature pools, caves, Hraunfossar, Deildartunguhver, Vìðgelmir lava cave, into the glacier cave tour, the goat farm (Geitfjársetrið á Háafelli) the settlement center in Borgarnes and much more!
