Just 2 minutes’ walk from the property is the convenience of a fine local pub serving food, with Eyam and the slightly larger village of Baslow, which is home to a good selection of local amenities, both just 5 minutes by car. The hugely popular market town of Bakewell is around a 15-minute drive, as is the magnificent Chatsworth House, which the energetic can also access by foot from Baslow. The wonderful gothic Haddon Hall can be reached in around a 20-minute drive, and a whole host of other Peak District towns and villages including Buxton, Castleton, Hathersage and Matlock are available within half an hour.
