Manor House Farm is the larger house of a refurbished Grade II listed farmhouse, set in the North York Moors National Park near the seaside town of Scarborough. It is ideally situated in the beautiful valley of Troutsdale, and a short drive from nearby towns and villages.. Beautifully renovated, this cottage accommodates six guests in three bedrooms: double (downstairs), king (upstairs) and twin (upstairs). Manor House Farm and Cottage can be booked together to accommodate up to ten guests. The space Beautifully renovated, this cottage comprises a living room, dining room, kitchen, three Bedrooms, three Bathrooms and a large garden. Layout: Ground Floor entrance hall left into a lovely, bright living room with sofa, armchairs, coffee tables, window seat, and Freeview TV. An open doorway leads into the dining room with table and seating for six guests. A door from the dining room leads to a Kitchen, which includes a fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparation, cooking and serving meals for six guests. The back door (in the kitchen) opens to the back garden and drive. The bedroom (downstairs) has a double bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, and a window seat. There is a Bathroom right next to this bedroom comprising a shower, wash hand basin and W.C. A back hallway leads to the dining room. First Floor has a double bedroom with king-size bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, dressing table. The en-suite bathroom comprises bath, wash hand basin, and W.C. There is also a twin bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe, bedside cabinets, and dressing table. The family bathroom has a shower, wash hand basin, and W.C. There is a large garden at the front, side and back of the house, which is enclosed with wall, fence, and a gate. There is also plenty of parking space on the drive at the back of the cottage. Heating and electricity included in your rental. We provide all bedding, bed linen and towels, TV, and WiFi (subject to fair usage policy). Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at an added fee of £20 per dog. Please note: Gardens/Outside areas not necessarily dog proof, even if fenced/walled, so dogs must be kept under control at all times, especially near farm animals. Guest access You'll have the cottage to yourselves. There are three other cottages at Manor Farm, two holiday cottages: the adjoining Manor House Farm, and The Smithy just across the road. The Stables nearby is tenanted, and there are a few other houses and farms dotted along the valley. Other things to note - Our office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. - We are happy to accommodate a shorter stay, whenever possible, with a minimum of 3-nights. - Any amendments made to the reservation after booking will incur an additional administrative fee of £25. - Dogs welcome: Please keep dogs under control at all times, especially near farm animals, and do not leave them alone in the cottage. Please dry your wet or dirty dogs before allowing them on the carpets, and do not let them on the furniture or beds. Please remove all dog mess from all outside areas. - Gardens/Outside areas not necessarily dog proof, even if fenced/walled. - No events or parties to be held in the cottage, and please be considerate towards your neighbours and other guests. - Wi-Fi signal may be intermittent due to remote location. - Mobile phone signal is poor, also due to remote location - payphone in cottage for your convenience. - In the cottage you'll find a Guest Information folder, with details of places to eat out, ideas for local walks and day trips, and other practical information such as opening times of supermarkets and local attractions. - There is some construction taking place on a nearby building close to Manor House Farm, Cottage and Smithy. The builders are aware of the holiday cottages and will do their best to keep any disruption to a minimum (July 2025).
