Cottage in the Garden

A Cosy Private Cottage for two persons only! situated on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire Border and close to the Derbyshire Peak District & Alton Towers. also within walking distance of Tutbury Castle. The accommodation has been fitted out to impress with well equipped Lounge/Diner Kitchen with Cooker & hob/microwave & fridge freezer, the bedroom has a super king size double bed which can be split into two 3ft singles, and a double size shower/bathroom, also use of a private outside Patio area. The space On arrival to the Cottage all guests will have tea, coffee and sugar for that well earned drink when they arrive, also fresh towels are supplied along with liquid soap, shower gel, hair shampoo and conditioner. Cottage in the Garden is set amongst the small Derbyshire Village Hatton, but very close by around 20 mins walk is the village of Tutbury, this has the famous Tutbury Castle which is well worth a visit, also the Dog & Partridge Restaurant is the ideal place to get a meal and a cosy drink by an open fire during the winter months. Or alternatively the Boars Head Restaurant Station Road Sudbury will not disappoint and serves excellent food. Tutbury also has an amount of small Cafe's and shops to visit. A similar distance walk is to visit the Tutbury Weir across open fields, to view the area around Tutbury Castle and the River Dove. Also and importantly regards commuting their is a Railway station in the Village of Tutbury & Hatton which will take visitors as far as they want to go and destinations can be booked online through the national rail website. There is also a local bus service close to the railway station which will take you to Burton on Trent, Uttoxeter and Derby along with other villages close by. Both the railway station and bus stop are within 15 minute walk from Cottage in the Garden. Locally and within walking distance are local shops where you can purchase provisions, Co-Op and Nisa, also the local Fish & Chip shop if required. A little further away is Sudbury Hall (around 7 minute car journey) and Uttoxeter Horse race coarse (20 minute car journey), then you have the Peak district where you can visit Chatsworth House, Alton Towers, The Lady Bower Reservoir which is a must see. Also the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas/Lichfield is a 30 minute car journey away along with a host of many more attractions and places to visit. We offer free use of the Ordinance Survey and Great Short Walks guide books for all the family over the Peak District.
