Peaceful Location In A Small Rural Village, with Our Own River Frontage in exquisite countryside, near the Soca valley. Airports close by include Trieste (1 hour 30 mins), Ljubliana (2.0 hours) and Venice (2.5 hours). The house is in the Baca Valley, which is famous for fly fishing (subject to permits). Lake Bled is one hour away by train (5 minutes walk to the station). The longest zip-wire in Europe is near Bled! Ljubliana, Postojna Caves, White Horses of Lipica and the Sea-side at Piran, Portoroz and even Venice are close enough for day trips The Soca valley is THE destination for extreme water-sports (Kayaking, white water rafting, canyoning etc) so lots to do for teenagers and the young at heart! This is a large property (350 sq m) with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. There are three terraces, all facing south, two for BBQ's and one for the swimming pool. The house has recently been fully restored to a very high standard. The main living room is 45ft long with a bar, seating area and original barn doors and beams, which is great for parties. The kitchen is huge with a central island and Italian ceramic flooring leading to a large patio with outdoor furniture overlooking the river. There is a (2020) Panasonic 4K internet TV so logging in to your Netflix of Amazon account is easy. Their is also a 42" TV', WII and Playstation downstairs. Food and drink locally, is excellent and surprisingly cheap. There is central heating for the winter months. We provide all bedding, towels and beach towels. There are four new (2024) Laura Ashley pocket sprung mattress' (Two King size and two doubles). The en-suite bathroom for bedroom one has been completely renewed. Being rural you need a car. There is a railway station in the village that can take you to Bled (in an hour) and in the other direction to Nova Gorizia (45 minutes). Trains in Slovenia are incredibly cheap. There is also a local taxi service (mini-bus) in the village for the times when you want to eat out but not drive. IMPORTANT: Please note this house is only available to book for full weeks from Saturday to Saturday.
