A sturdy guest house newly built in 2017 on the site of an old farm barn. Located in the outskirts, fifteen minutes from Zwolle. Experience the light, the air, the space, the tranquility and the beautiful starry sky. Features two bathrooms, a Finnish sauna, a full kitchen, central heating, gas fireplace, good beds, deck terraces with lounge chairs, BBQ and fireplace and everything you can expect in a luxurious accommodation. The space Next to our house, we built a guest house in 2017, with a lot of attention to comfort and details. The foundations of an old farm barn formed the basis, hence why we call it De Barn. From the outside, it also looks somewhat like a black wooden barn, but inside it becomes clear that it is a guesthouse/holiday home with all the amenities you might expect in a luxurious accommodation. It is set up in such a way that there is a lot of privacy for the guests, and it lends itself perfectly to a multi-day stay or a complete vacation. Layout: The Barn has a front and rear sections, separated by a connecting door. Both parts have their own outside door. In the front part is the living room, with panoramic views of the area. The large windows are equipped with electric screens on the outside that filter the sunlight in the summer. The sliding door provides access to the deck terraces and garden. In the sitting area, comfortable armchairs, a comfortable sofa, smart TV and a gas fireplace for the atmosphere. Furthermore, a desk and a fully equipped kitchen. In this part of the Barn, a first bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and a toilet. In the rear part of the Barn, you will find the master bedroom with also large panoramic windows. Electric screens on the outside and inside roller blinds for blackout. But leaving them open is also an option if you want to see the sun rise from your bed in the morning. In this part, the Finnish 2/3 person sauna is also built in, and for the real wellness feeling, there is a double shower in the walk-in part of the adjacent bathroom. There is also a washing machine and dryer. Through the outside door, you can walk onto the deck terrace. Kitchen (including coffee and tea): The kitchen has a four-burner stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator and a dishwasher. There is a toaster, grill/toaster, citrus press, etc. available. There is a Nespresso machine with a starter pack of cups. There are also other coffee/tea facilities. Sleeping: There are a total of six comfortable beds, which are arranged in three places. In the master bedroom, on the ground floor, there is a large double bed. On the mezzanine in this room are two single beds. This mezzanine can be reached via a fairly steep open staircase and is in open connection with the master bedroom. On the mezzanine in the living room, there are two single beds. The grounds: Our grounds in the green agricultural area between Dalfsen and Ommen are surrounded by an area of the Drents Overijsselse Delta water board. As a result, we have a great pond in front of the door, and at higher water levels, the terrain is surrounded by water on three sides. Rest assured, a boat is not necessary. The access road of about 200 meters to the public road provides a proper connection to the "mainland." An ever-changing landscape that never gets boring. For an extra out-of-town experience, the farmers who work the land can sometimes make it less quiet in the warmer months. In the summer, crops such as corn are often grown on the surrounding fields. They provide even more privacy around De Barn at that time. Surroundings: De Barn Dalfsen is located in the municipality of Dalfsen, between the Vecht and Reestdal and close to the Staphorster Staatsbossen. A landscape with countless cycling and hiking routes, where you will find plenty of space and tranquility. Guest access Garden/terraces: The Barn features deck terraces with lounge chairs and is surrounded by a green garden, with panoramic views. Extra sun loungers and deck chairs are available. BBQ/fire pit: In the garden of De Barn, a large stone barbecue is ready for use. At the BBQ, there is a fireplace where a "campfire" can be made. Briquettes, firelighters, logs and other BBQ/fire supplies are available for a fee. Bringing your own or buying from the nearby stores is of course fine. Wellness/fitness: A Finnish two-person sauna is built into the Barn. Use of the sauna is €20 for the first time during your stay. For all subsequent times €15.00. The heating time of the sauna heater is approximately 60 minutes. Other things to note The mezzanines in the front and rear of the Barn are accessible via sturdy open stairs. These are quite steep, which can be a problem for people with mobility problems, and older people may find this challenging. Use of the sauna, briquettes for the BBQ and firewood are not included in the rental price. Sound in the outdoor area carries far, loud music especially in the evening and night is therefore less desirable. No party location! We will take care of the local tourist tax per person per night. So no unpleasant surprise afterwards. Covid 19: The cleaning is of course thorough and during your stay we keep sufficient distance.
