The space Escape to Bohinj sleeps 6 across 3 bedrooms, and is ideal for families and friends wanting to spend quality time together in comfortable accommodation with endless activities on the doorstep. Using natural materials and tasteful furnishings, this calming space offers a quiet escape from the busyness of everyday life. Step inside… The heart of the home is the light and airy open-plan living, kitchen and dining area. In summer, this sociable space is kept cool by thick stone walls. In winter, underfloor heating and a homely wood-burning stove will keep you toasty. The kitchen has everything you need, with plenty of spare plates, bowls, mugs and glasses so you don’t have to put the dishwasher on after every meal. And if you fancy releasing your inner domestic goddess, we have weighing scales, cake tins etc to whip up a yummy treat. Food can be enjoyed at the large indoor table or outside in the pretty enclosed garden, perfect for a BBQ on a warm summer evening. Sip your morning cup of coffee on the bench at the front of the house and watch the world go by, or unwind with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the mountains. Many of our guests love to watch the cows stroll through the village on their way to and from the pastures each day. After an active day outside, there is nothing nicer than falling into a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep. On the first floor, the luxurious emperor-size sleigh bed exudes opulence and comfort. The cosy twin room takes inspiration from the natural world around Lake Bohinj, and offers lovely views over the Julian Alps. The top-floor suite, with its super-king bed, en-suite shower room, exposed beams, high ceiling, feature wooden wall and mountain views provides a private escape where you can relax and soak up the tranquillity. Every aspect of Escape to Bohinj has been carefully designed to make your stay hassle-free. You have a designated parking space opposite the house – invaluable in this popular area. There is a large entrance hall, perfect for storing your hiking boots and outdoor gear. There is also a downstairs WC and a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying racks. Everything is on hand to make life easy after an active day hiking or swimming. Beach towels are also provided - one less thing for you to pack. Escape to Bohinj is more than just a rental property – it is a “home from home” where you can slow down, rest, re-charge and create lasting memories with your family and friends. Although Escape to Bohinj is new to Airbnb, we have been letting the house as a holiday rental since 2019, and are delighted to have many repeat guests stay with us. Guest access Guests have access to the entire house, with accommodation over three floors. There is private parking for guests directly opposite the house. Shops, restaurants (including one awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award) and a tourist information centre are within easy walking distance, along with numerous outdoor activities. Other things to note Local Tourist Tax is payable per person, per night, and will appear as "Taxes" in your invoice. Stara Fužina is a working village, so expect to see tractors and cows on the roads – you often hear the cowbells before you can see their owners! Next door is the local Gostilna, or pub – a great option for supper after a day out exploring. Two well-stocked village shops are a 2-minute walk from the front door.
