Historic cottage in village location with one cat

A two bedroom 18th century cottage with gardens and a cat, a few minutes walk from the village, available when the owner is away. The cottage is suitable for four people only as there are just two double beds. N.B. It is my own residence and cannot be available except when I am away. I will be away for one week this year, 2023 at Christmas. The space Are you a cat lover? There is a resident cat, Joe, who needs to be fed - his food will be provided (more details on request). Scroll through the photos to see him. The house is comfy in winter and cool in summer, with beautiful walks just outside the front door. The decor is simple but there is everything you need; the bathroom is downstairs. The whole house is available only when I am away. There are two bedrooms with double beds, internet access, landline, CH, garden. It is an eighteenth century semi-detached sandstone cottage with a garden and patio. This is a comfortable, historic, atmospheric and much loved house. There are two double bedrooms and two reception rooms; the kitchen and bathroom are downstairs. There is a log fire and simple uncluttered furnishings. There is a beautiful view over fields at the back of the house, although it is on the main bus route to Guildford, where there are frequent trains to London, and also to Gatwick, Heathrow, Portsmouth and Reading. There are two pubs, a very good general store and restaurant in the village, which is a few minutes walk away, and there are circular walks over a variety of beautiful countryside. NB parking is a short distance away. There is a bus service, every twenty minutes during the day, but it is quite expensive. It is advisable to have a car. There is a Book of the House and I am in contact by email to give full details before you arrive. There is an excellent general shop and post office, a coffee shop and two pubs in the village. Buses run once or twice an hour to Guildford in the day time. The best thing here is the country walks- of great variety, and circular. There is an OS map at the cottage. Hire cars are the most convenient for people wanting to get around the countryside; the main bus and train stations are 20 minutes away in Guildford. London is 35 minutes from there by train. There is no parking at the house; I park on the road with hazard lights when unloading, then park in the next side road on the right opposite (coming from the north), or at weekends and school holidays (only) at the car park for the Infant School (before arriving at the house coming from the north). Heathrow and Gatwick are equidistant from the house and cost approx. £60.00 by taxi. Information about heating, log fire, cooking, bathroom, washing machine etc. are at the house.
