A pretty 2 bedroom cottage close to the village of Hastingleigh on the Kent Downs. 60 miles from London, 37 minutes train journey into St Pancras. Set in rolling hills this stone and wood clad cottage is cozy and lightl with a large south facing private garden. Offering perfect isolation, tranquillity and idyllic country life. Enjoy miles of walking and cycling. Close to the historic village of Wye and the city of Canterbury. The space Hazel Tree cottage is situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Quietly set in a 3 acre plot next to the Grade II Listed farmhouse the cottage has a wealth of original features and a stylish mix of contemporary and vintage family furnishings. Hazel Tree Cottage is situated on a very quiet country lane with little or no traffic. Spacious private parking for three cars leads to the detached cottage entrance where you will find a generous secluded family garden and sunny terrace overlooking the fields. The Cottage is close to the tiny village of Hastingleigh and in walking distance to a local pub, church and the village hall. The pretty village of Wye is an eight minute drive. Wye railway station is just a short walk from the pretty village centre and has plenty of free parking (37 minutes to London St Pancras) and a 10 minute journey to Canterbury. The pretty downstairs bedroom hosts a king size bed, feather duvet and has garden views. Leading on from the hallway is a small yet practical and well equipped sunny kitchen with a pretty outlook onto the garden, terrace and field. There is a coffee machine, oven, fridge freezer, sink, dishwasher, toaster and electric kettle. Kitchen cupboards are stocked with tea, cafetière and coffee, sugar, oil, pepper and salt. Opening up from the kitchen is a beamed open plan living room with dining table and chairs, sofa, tv and log burner. The sitting room views from the windows are of the cottage garden and extensive farmhouse gardens. There are french doors leading from the living room immediately onto the pretty terrace and secluded, well stocked garden. Upstairs there is a landing with a dressing room/cupboard, a pretty, airy bedroom with two single beds, and views to the gardens. One downstairs bathroom with a bath and shower. Guest access The cottage has its own private garden overlooking a field which you are welcome to explore. Please be mindful of sheep and keep dogs on a lead. Other things to note PLEASE NOTE: NO CATS. Please enjoy Hazel Tree Cottage but we kindly ask that you leave it as you found it. There will be an additional charge for damages and if additional cleaning is needed this will be charged. Whilst I welcome well behaved dogs in Spring, Summer and Autumn, I would appreciate you observing the house rules. NO DOGS ON BEDS OR FURNITURE AND ONLY ALLOWED DOWNSTAIRS. Please keep dogs under control at all times in the grounds of the cottage. Please pick up dog waste. Do not wash your dog in the bath, a hose is provided outside. Whilst the owner appreciates your need for privacy and isolation she will need to do occasional checks of the property during longer term stays. There will occasionally be a gardener on site in the farmhouse grounds.
