Cotswolds Shepherds Hut, Wood Fired Hot Tub

We call our cosy shepherd's hut, 'Bob', after the gentleman who lovingly made it over the past 20 years, with unique details such as two windows from a church! It is spacious with a king size bed & a porch to relax on. It is located in a private paddock, adjacent to farmland, where you can walk out into fields & walk along the infant River Thames. You can relax by soaking in our wood fired Japanese Hot tub, with clean fresh water for every guest (It takes about 2 hrs to heat up) The space BOB: A very private site that allows couples to spend a few days away in the Cotswolds countryside. We provide facilities that make the most of an outdoor 'camping' experience with the luxury of warm and cosy nights. Our custom built kitchen cabin 'Arwen' (named after the storm that blew our last Mess Tent away!) allows for cooking in any weather! Relax & switch off from urban living! The site is exclusive and private for your own use. WC & SHOWER: The wooden compost 'loo with a view' looks out over the beautiful farm fields. A concern with many guests before arrival is that the loo maybe smelly - with it's unique system to seperate waste, we can honestly say it doesn't smell! The hot shower is in a private wooden hut, it's basic but all the more fun in the wild! ARWEN - The Mess Tent Well equipped for barbecues and simple food preparation. Gas BBQ - including a griddle and hob Crockery & cutlery, kettle, cooking utensils & pans for BBQ Fridge Picnic table/ bench Re-chargable torches & lanterns Coolbox for more storage Tea/coffee Games, cards, local information, maps for walking Hot water washing up facilities WOOD FIRED HOT TUB: You can relax by soaking in our wood fired Japanese Hot tub, with clean fresh water for every guest and supply of dry wood to heat it! You will be required to heat it up, which takes approx 2 hours. THE PADDOCK: Is a beautiful grass field. It has open farm land on one side, and views beyond our house to the infant River Thames. PARKING: There is a parking space for your use. PRIVACY: We have decided to make this site exclusive for couples looking for a countryside break. The side of our house & our Stables accommodation is visible from afar, but is not intrusive. Guest access Bob is self contained and there is no access to the main house. Other things to note You can walk to us from the Station - but it is across fields, so only in fair weather, and in daylight. You can NOT walk to us from the station along the roads. Likewise, you are able to walk to pubs but across fields, which can be very wet in the winter. You can NOT walk to the pubs along the road. The Paddock is in a rural and private location, the open farm fields means that on occasional days the farmer will be planting/harvesting. Likewise the cows can sometimes be heard on the farm. Although we are rural, we aren't remote, and have the luxury of being close to amenities, therefore you are aware of some road noise, but bird song is the first thing you hear!
