Description
Private cosy traditional log cabin on the lake, surrounded by beautiful countryside. Lovely peaceful get away from it all in an area of natural outstanding beauty, yet just ten minutes drive from Royal Tunbridge Wells, with all the culture, bars, restaurants and shops. The pretty village of Lamberhurst has lots of pubs to offer, with top quality food and local ales. Trains to London are 1 hour from Frant station. Nearby attractions include Scotney Castle, Bewl Water and Bedgebury Pinetum. The space Situated on our working livestock farm, the log cabin has its own entrance on the farm with plenty of parking. There are no shared amenities and you are welcome to come and go as you please. The log cabin is a very quiet peaceful area with just us for nearby neighbours. There is a lovely private screened decking area overlooking the lake for your sole use. The decking is south facing and a real sun trap, sit back, relax and enjoy the views of the lake and watch the hustle and bustle of the wildlife outside. The beautiful woodland surrounding the cabin means that every season is special here and offers an ever changing view, from the vibrant autumnal colours right through to the start of spring, bringing an abundance of bluebells through the woods and summer here definitely has the wow factor. Expect to see lots of wildlife here, including a variety of deer roaming around and we even have a resident kingfisher on the lake. The entrance to the log cabin has a covered canopy so you can still enjoy the outdoors even in poorer weather. There is plenty of seating outside and a BBQ is available to use during the warmer months. There is also plenty of outside lighting, including a motion sensored flood light where you will park. If and when you have had enough of taking in our views outside, enter the warm and cosy interior of our lovely log cabin. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen, with integrated fridge and small freezer compartment within the fridge. There is an electric hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and Nespresso machine. I will supply tea, coffee etc and milk for your stay. There is a kingsize bed with a firm mattress and a range of drawers and ottoman for storage of your clothes and belongings. A fixed open style hanging rail, complete with hangers is for your use. A comfortable two seater sofa and two seater dining table and chairs complete the open plan feel to the main part of the lodge. There is a TV with built in DVD player mounted on a full motion TV bracket for your viewing convenience. There is a separate shower room, with large shower tray and heated towel rail. Towels are supplied. There is a separate washroom, comprising a WC and shaver point. The lodge has hot water and heating, including an electric style wood burning stove. Smoking in not permitted in the lodge. The lake is not open to the public and is for our enjoyment and the enjoyment of our guests, fishing for our guests is permitted, please enquire before booking, so I can give you all the information you need about the lake. There are some very nice walks on the farm and in the nearby village, I have quite a comprehensive walking book for guests to use and a local ordinance survey map. Other things to note Just to let you know the trade off for staying in such a beautiful setting is there is no WiFi and mobile phone signal can dip in and out around the farm, depending on the network. EE works fairly well in and around the cabin. We welcome well behaved dogs, the cabin is not really suited to very large dogs. PROHIBITED DOG BREEDS: In the safety interest of ourselves, livestock and other pets on the farm, the following breeds of dogs are not allowed. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. • Pit Bull Terriers, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brazillero, American XL Bully, Rottweilers, Alaskan Malamutes, Bull Mastiffs, Japanese Akitas. We ask that all dogs are kept on a lead around the livestock. Unfortunately due to safety issues around the lake, we do not allow children to stay with us.
