Casa al Vallone

Alicudi is a small eolian island with no cars and a lot of stairs. The house is at an altitude of 200 meters, approximately 15 to 20 minutes from the port and the supermarkets. It accommodates 3 persons and is equipped to modern standards. Alicudi is a quiet island. But there is as well everyday noise: people might be working in the neighborhood, families with kids might be on holiday. If you search for complete silence, you need to go further up, out of the village. The space The house accommdates up to 3 persons and is equipped to modern standards containing a kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms with shower and toilet. Furthermore there is a terrace in front of the house as well as an outdoor shower. The house is built on two levels and therefore a spiral staircase leads you from the living to the bedroom that you can enter across a little patio as well. The house is perfect for guests who wish to spend their holiday not too far from the sea and the village. Of course we pick up our guests at the port. We recommend to ask for a mule that brings up the luggage and the shopping (costs 20 Euro from the port to the house). So after arrival, we do the shopping and then we start walking up the stairs to the Vallone. Please be aware that the house is on an altitude of approximately 200 meters, we reach the house only by walking up the paths and stairs. We cannot garantee silence because the houses of the neighbours are close. Guest access You have access to all rooms, you have the house at your disposal Other things to note What you shoud bring to Alicudi: - bring your torch/flashlight. There is no road lighting - during summer there are mosquitos - bring good shoes, there are just stone paths on Alicudi What to Consider: - there is no cash machine on Alicudi and you can´t buy tobacco - a transport with the mule from the port to the house costs 20€ - please tell us in advance when you will arrive, so we can organise the mule transport and we can pick you up We cannot garantee absolute silence because the neighbourhouses are close.
