The space The story of the house in the forest starts on 2008 when everybody lost their jobs and I was not anymore the windsurf-instructor traveling world wide with my groups. I had a empty piece of land, my own forest, some savings and lots of friends - windsurfers. House material cut, project drawn, frame built, electric and water systems... all done by windsurfers. Come and see how it turned out! Hundimaja is set on the shore of the Gulf of Riga, far away from towns. (closest town is Pärnu 65km). The sandy beach is just 108 meters away and the bigger road is 5 km from the house. The pine forest turning into a swamp forest turning into a mire and alvars with horse pasture and sheep lie nearby. The house is suitable for families or friends, for nature tourism or for an active vacation. Ground or terrace-floor contains one double bedroom, fireplace and kitchenette. The kitchenette is well-equipped and includes a microwave, a cook-top, a refrigerator and all the necessary kitchenware. Second floor is the bedroom which can be settled as twin, double or triple room. All together for 5 persons (but have had also 9 person in it :)). At the winter time we offer wooden heated house with a romantic fireplace itself in your room. Works only one shower over the terrace (that avoids your bedrooms getting humid). Depend on snow condition we have some ski trails, or skate ice on the top of the sea. Horseback riding provided by partner nearby. And sleigh rides available if the roads can carry the sleigh. Here is YOUR chance to learn windsurfing! Ask about windsurfing training and hikes where you can learn bird calls. We also have a boat and bike rental. All the road from Pärnu to here is wonderful history mixed with nature.
