BOATHOUSE by Great Lake, Jämtland

Eco-friendly house in contemporary Nordic Style with sauna and sun-decks, situated in a small villa neighborhood near Östersund, the cute town amongst the mountains and lakes in the region of Jämtland. A peaceful heaven for gastronomes and outdoor enthusiast. Car is required. The space Experience a unique spot in Jämtland with great views and atmosphere. Stay in our sanctuary - The Boathouse, situated just south of Östersund in a small villa community, by the lakeside. The Boathouse is one large spacious room with a dining table and living room area, an open kitchen, and a small bathroom with a shower. Above the open kitchen and bathroom, there's a loft or a mezzanine level with two large mattresses. Therefore it's not necessary to sleep in the main living area. The sofa in the living room area is a fold-out and can sleep two people if you don't want to climb up to the loft. If more than 3 guests, one to two people can stay in a cozy separate room, furnished with a double bed, situated in the sauna house next to The Boathouse. This room also has a basin and cold water. The accessibility to this extra bedroom might not be possible during the full winter. Guest access One rowing boat and life vests to borrow, There's a wood-fired sauna - firewood included, that can be used. Walks/runs along the lakeside in both directions are recommended as well. Outdoor kitchen, BBQ, and areas with outdoor furniture are available for our guests as well. Access to our herb garden in summer. If Martin (hunter) and Fia (chef) are at home we can arrange a 3-course Swedish Family style dinner cooked with only local ingredients + drinks/wines for an additional 120 EUR/person. Need to book a few days in advance. Other things to note Eco-friendly sheets and towels are included. Basic spices and kitchen equipment for cooking are provided.
