Welcome to The Emig Manson! There are seven individual and unique guest rooms and several common spaces for your comfort during your stay. Our property is accessible to both Harrisburg and Baltimore Washington International airports, several local parks, York's city center, art and cultural attractions, and Hershey Park! You’ll love our property because of his history, gardens, and comfort. We cater to you! The Mansion has been used for many different purposes over the recent years and was discovered by a local realtor in the 1980s in a state of disrepair. Mary Llewellyn made the decision to save the Mansion and with great research and resources restored the home saving many of Edward’s improvements. The Mansion was opened as a bed and breakfast and has continued to operate as such to the present day. Common areas are restored to Victorian era feel, and our guests are welcomed to sit in the library, parlors, veranda, and the koi pond. Each room is named after one of the 11 Emig children, and the Master being that of Mother and Father. All rooms have their own bathrooms with five having ensuite bathrooms. Ask about the original beehive oven and the onsite jail! Guests have access to their rooms, both parlors, the library, both dining rooms, snack bar with coffee and tea service, veranda, gardens, and third floor laundry facilities. We live on the premises, so we are always here to help you plan and enjoy your visit to the area. Locally, the York area has much to offer our guests. York is located within a 45 minute drive to tourist attractions in Gettysburg, our state capitol Harrisburg, Hershey and Lancaster, PA. For those who enjoy outdoor activities, we have the local Northern Central Railroad (NCR) hiking trail which spans 40 miles beginning in Hunt Valley, MD and ending in York. There are State Parks and many lakes for kayaking, fishing and hiking. There are two nearby mountain zoos are Lake Tobias and the Catoctin Mountain Zoo. In the winter months, you can bring family and friends for fun on the slopes at Ski Roundtop and Ski Liberty. For those who prefer indoor activities, a tour of the Harley Davidson Factory is an absolute must. Our area also boasts the National Watch and Clock Museum and the famous workshop of Bluett Brothers Violins. York is also a melting pot of some of the best restaurants and cuisine around. You can find local and outlet shopping, and there is always something interesting happening at either the York Expo Center or the Appell Center for the Arts. While you can cross the street for quick snacks at High's, getting around Emigsville and York requires your own transportation.
