The dome & property star in the acclaimed book, "The Good Life Lab.” With two well lit porches and a fire pit it’s easy to break free from the ordinary in our temporary autonomous zone, offering a rejuvenating respite from commodified life. We host a quiet, retreat-like setting Two blocks from downtown and Riverbend ABOUT THE DOME • A private guest house situated in a corner nook of an acre-sized, private, earthen-walled property. Beautifully high ceilings and supremely quiet. HOT SPRING * Our 108 degree private hot spring is situated in a large, enclosed (fenced), open-air area surrounded by trees, where you can view the night sky and the sunrise. It is available to two sets of guests but not at the same time assuring each guest plenty of privacy and tub time. Dome guests may soak as much as they like on all even hours (8am, 10am… etc) day or evening, while our other guests soak during odd hours. • Inside the dome it is extremely quiet due to 1' thick walls • The dome is stocked with all that is needed for heating up restaurant left overs, and making coffee/tea - (mini fridge; microwave, electric kettle, French press). • Pet-allergen and chemical free. We clean with natural products and scent free detergent. • High speed wifi 40MB accessible in the dome and on our two shady porches - rock solid and reliable • Ductless heating and AC unit that you control • Off-the-grid on PV solar • Fruit trees, multiple furnished shady porches with wi-fi, a perfect, casual and laid back, natural environment for forgetting about the big stuff, relax! Tip: If the dome’s booked on your dates check out our other listing, “Rock Star Tour Bus With Private Hot Spring" Guest access NATURAL 108 DEGREE HOT SPRING - OUTDOOR Enjoy soaking in our 8' diameter, 108-degree, outdoor, natural hot spring in a spacious and private fenced area with views of Turtleback mountain, star-studded night skies and glorious sunrises. DOME GUESTS have the private hot spring to themselves every even hour day and night (6, 8, 10, 12, 2, … etc). Our other guests have the hot springs to themselves on odd hours. SOAK AT YOUR OWN RISK. We assume no liability for accidents. No radios. You may soak throughout the night just please observe quiet hours 10 pm to 9am, which means whispers when in the tub. OUTDOOR SPACE: Our property has two covered outdoor porches, lit in the evenings with wi-fi. FIRE PIT: We have a tree encircled fire pit with flagstone patio around it which is available to guests (wood $25 per bundle of wood = apx 15 cut pieces of wood). Fires must be kept small. PARKING: All guests have their own off-street parking space. Other things to note Before you book please know that we are an adult only quiet retreat like environment and we are not child or pet friendly. All guests must be listed in the booking, registered in the Airbnb app. There is a $150 fee for non registered guests. By booking this home you agree with the House Rules, which include: maximum 2 adult guests - guests are not welcome to invite additional guests to the property; you agree to follow the hot spring schedule and instructions. Our spaces are cleaned by a busy cleaning service that generally cannot assure an early check in or late check out. You may request a different time two days in advance for best outcomes. Guests that do not check out at 11 are charged $50 up to 1pm, after which the amount charged is $100 per hour until you have checked out. We’re busy, and we have a reasonability to our next guest who is checking in at 3pm. There is a $300 fee for bringing a pet or a child.
