Low Westwood is a village equi-distant between Newcastle upon Tyne and Durham in the beautiful Derwent Valley. It's in a rural location just off the Coast-to-Coast cycle route about 20 miles from the North Sea coast line. Newcastle 30 mins by car, good bus service, also stops at the Metrocentre. Durham 20 mins Great for walking and country pubs. Industrial history, beautiful landscape, quiet and peaceful. Good for off road cycling, 4 historic railway lines meet at Consett, viaducts galore. The space We rent our spare room for short stays, it has a double bed and private ensuite bathroom. Guest access Guests are welcome to use our kitchen for tea/coffee, a simple breakfast is provided each morning if we are home on a help yourself basis. There are no cooking facilities. During your stay We are a retired couple and may or may not be here as we travel a lot. Other things to note By negotiation we are also willing to rent our property for longer periods at a reduced rent in exchange for you looking after our pet Guinea Pigs. In this case you would have private use of the full house and emenities except our own bedroom which would be locked. Currently looking for house sitting guests June to August 2024.
