You are a quick stroll to the beautiful Intracoastal waterway and community boat launch. Equidistant to Wrightsville + Carolina Beaches! Bring your boat, surfboards and paddle boards. Enjoy evenings under the tree canopy and cafe lights, cocktails by the firepit or grill a fresh fish dinner on the spacious back porch. This magical property is waiting for you! The space The space: This charming, fully renovated ranch home will be your new favorite vacation spot! Unique in the fact that you have quick access to the water but set apart from the busy, highly trafficked beach areas. Not too far but enough to ensure a gorgeous sunset and quiet cocktail by the water (3 min walk) without the hectic beach traffic:) The 3 bedroom ranch was recently upfitted in a cool, coastal modern style. You will want for nothing during your stay with lockbox entry, a spacious private backyard, large patio with propane grill and fire pit. Great sleep is a focal point for our guests. You can expect comfy beds and fresh linens ensuring excellent rest after a long day of exploring, surfing or beach combing. Guests are invited to bring their boats and personal watercraft with plenty of room for trailer parking at the house. The community ramp is just 2 blocks from the cottage. If you prefer to have kayaks delivered for your stay we offer a 10% discount with our local rental company. Reserve for any length of time and enjoy the waterways, creeks and Masonboro island at your leisure. Groups, couples and families will find the Trails End Cottage comfortable, fun and superbly clean! Enjoy morning coffee in the serene backyard. The sound of the birds and a distant boat headed out to fish the inlet will be your only intrusion. At days end, enjoy evening cocktails and al fresco dinners under the café lights. The house is equipped with Smart TVs and high speed AT&T internet. The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for cooking and grilling if you prefer not to indulge in some of our fantastic local restaurants. The large dining room is a wonderful spot to enjoy group meals or game nights. There are 3 bedrooms. The primary has a new king bed with hybrid, memory foam mattress, and a private en-suite with shower. There is a King ensuite bath bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a and bunk room with 1 double and 1 twin bed. Another full bathroom with bathtub is available. There is a desk and private workspace to take care of business while away. In warm months enjoy the outdoor shower. Beach chairs, towels, cooler and umbrella are provided. You may just decide to stay in your bathing suits the entire time :) The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood on Whiskey Creek and has quick access to the Intracoastal Waterway. The area is known for great kayaking, boating and where the popular "Dawson's Creek" series was filmed. Approx 7 miles in either direction will get you to either Wrightsville or Carolina Beaches. Longer term stays are possible. We are available to answer any questions anytime but you will have complete privacy to feel at home away from home during your stay. Guest access This private home, has a private outdoor porch and enclosed hot water, outdoor shower. Plenty of parking, washer/dryer and a fenced in backyard that is open at the driveway entrance. Upon departure, we would appreciate it if guests could start the dishwasher and a load of linens. The laundry can be left in the machine and laundry room. Thank you! Other things to note Fort Fisher's Aquarium and historic battleground are due south. A ferry ride from there makes for a fun day trip to charming Southport where the movie “Safe Haven” was filmed. Grab lunch at Fishy Fishy a watch the shrimp boats unload their catch. One mile from the cottage is the UNCW Marine Science Lab. The University of North Carolina at Wilmington is 6 miles away. The Downtown Riverfront and beaches are about 9 miles. Both Wrightsville and Carolina beaches are about a 15-20 minute drive. Uber is available and a good idea for the beaches or downtown where parking can be limited.
