Kóri, a creative guest house experience

Embrace slow living and live like a local at Kóri; a carefully restored courtyard residency located in Avgeniki, a village 20km south of Heraklion - in the heart of Crete island. Enjoy the sunrise on the rooftop, a beverage under the grapevine arbor, shower in the courtyard, wander barefoot in the lounge, cook a Greek recipe using the herbs from the patios, follow a path to an old church, try local wine and dance at a village fest, swim in crystal clear waters nearby Minoan ruins. The space This is a post war stone house with a carefully curated courtyard. As you enter the residency (clockwise), you see the living room area (or Sala) with a balcony (incl. a TV setting, sofa/bed), followed by a bedroom with two single beds (can serve as a double bed too) and a double bedroom. Both bedrooms have windows and along with the balcony, all have views to the vineyards and the olive groves of the area. All rooms are naturally-lit, spacious and airy with fast Wi-Fi and ethernet connection and A/C. Next stop is the olive green coloured kitchen that comes with a kitchen stove with oven, refrigerator and other amenities and views to the courtyard. Coming off the house and in the courtyard, an orange tree and a grapevine arbor provide rich shade on the hot summer days. With entrance from the courtyard you can find the fully renovated bathroom with a shower. There is an outdoor shower too, as well as a utility space, with a hard-carved stone trough, where you can wash you veggies and fruit or your snorkeling kit! Guest access The residency is located at the edge of the village, at the foothills of Psiloritis mountain. There is a free parking space just outside the property on the main village road. You can get around the neighbourhood and the nearby villages on foot, motorbike or car. The village's main square is about 4min walking distance.
