Shepherd's Hut - Deer Lodge, Farm, Southdowns.

Deer Lodge is the largest of our bespoke luxury shepherds huts. Sleeping 2 and a small child, it is nestled amongst the sheep and wildflowers of Drews Farm - a working farm situated just 15 minutes walk from Rowlands Castle train station. Lie in its' walk around Kingsize bed absorbing the sun rising across the fields. The third bed converts from the seating, also included are; Woodburner, kitchenette, ensuite with hot shower. Outside; enjoy a fire pit with views of the sunset. The space Deer Lodge is the largest of two shepherds huts. They are placed in the same field but facing opposite directions looking out over different fields, they do not overlook each other. Drews Farm is a family run farm with sheep, cows, chickens and arable land. The huts are easily accessible just off the farm yard and next to the main farm barn. Built by the infamous Plankbridge, Deer Lodge is designed to perfection. No expense has been spared. The bed has an orthopaedic mattress, the ensuite is fully plumbed in to the mains water supply. All the energy supplying Deer's Lodge comes from solar panels on the roof of the big barn. A fire pit is outside with chairs to enjoy the sunset and ambience on the farm. Relax outside taking in the views of the valley and up to Stansted wood or soak in our double ended freestanding copper bath. Big enough for two, it is situated in a secluded spot near to the huts with a view towards the wood. With plenty of hot water there is no need to wait for a hot tub to warm up. Secure storage is available for bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards etc. Meals can be provided by a local chef all you have to do is to heat them up. A menu will be supplied on request for pre-ordering. Electric bikes can be hired by pre arrangement. Windsurfing and sailing lessons can also be arranged locally. Paddle boarding is also available on request on the nearby Chichester Harbour, area of outstanding natural beauty. Guest access Parking is available outside the main barn a short walk through the field to the huts.
