Gas central heating, hot water. Bed linen and towels included. 34" Smart TV. DVD. Gas hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washing machine. Fridge/Freezer. Wi-fi. Private enclosed garden with patio and furniture. Parking (1 car. Large vans might need to park around the corner). Welcome pack. No smoking. A mature, well behaved dog is welcome. Guest access There is a keysafe if we are unable to greet you. Details will be sent to you before arrival. ( Please be respectful and avoid arriving early - thanks!) The nearest shops and pub are half a mile away. Aldeburgh High street and the beach are just under a mile. Roughly a 20 minute walk depending on how you walk... Other things to note Aldeburgh was the home of British composer Benjamin Britten and remains a centre for the arts and literature with the Aldeburgh Music Festival, the Proms, an annual poetry festival, literary festival, documentary film festival, exhibitions and galleries, food festivals and many other cultural events. Fresh locally caught fish can be bought daily (weather permitting) from the fishermen’s huts along the beach. The Aldeburgh festival itself is usually in mid August. The day ends with a procession to the beach and grand finale of Fireworks from the beach. Usually a week later there is the Thorpness Regatta just two miles down the coast. Kayaking and paddle boarding are avaible on the River Alde at Iken or, with temporary membership, at Slaughden sailing club. This needs to be booked in advance. If anyone is a keen sailor, temporary membership and dinghy hire can be arranged at Slaughden Sailing club in Aldeburgh.
