Poet's Cottage is set in a rural setting, located adjacent to a working farm, in the beautiful Hampshire countryside, just to the west of Petersfield. With 3 bedrooms and spacious living space, it is perfectly situated for walking and exploring the South Downs and for day trips to Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Winchester, Goodwood motor and horse racing events and the beach at Hayling Island or West Wittering. Up to 2 dogs are very welcome. The space Poet's Cottage is situated on a quiet lane directly under the Hampshire Hangers. It is located on a working livestock farm with cattle, sheep and poultry. It has a spacious living/dining area and well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs is the stunning master bedroom with it's huge gable end oak windows and 6ft bed. There is also a twin bedroom and master bathroom with roll top Victorian style bath with waterfall taps. Downstairs is a third bedroom with kingsize bed and an ensuite walk in shower. The garden is on two levels with BBQ and furniture. With off road parking, the cottage is perfectly situated for direct access into the famous Hampshire Hangers, with Edward Thomas' Poet's Stone on the Shoulder of Mutton, a short walk away. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property and garden. The car parking area is shared with the farm house. Other things to note Poet's is adjacent to a working farm. We do ask that guests and their dogs do not enter the farmyard because of the dangers of livestock and tractors in and out, but are very happy to show them around by prior arrangement. Whilst we are in a very rural and quiet location, you will hear farmyard noises such as the chickens and geese or cattle mooing! Because of the rural and peaceful nature of the location and out of respect to our neighbours, we do ask that guests observe "quiet hours" between 11 pm and 7 am.
