6 Parklands, near Bude, offers a spacious & comfortable base, sleeping up to 8, from which to explore the spectacular North Cornwall coast. There are several beaches on your doorstep. Nearby Bude offers beaches, sports facilities and a great selection of shops, restaurants and bars. The SW Coast Path gives endless options for walks. Within 30 minutes you can reach Port Isaac, Boscastle, Tintagel, Clovelly & days trips include Rock, Padstow, Newquay, Exeter, The Eden Project and so many more. The space Our holiday home in Kilkhampton near Bude, North Cornwall, is now available for short breaks or longer holidays. Situated at Penstowe Manor, 6 Parklands is a comfortable 3-bedroom bungalow sleeping up to 8 people. The property offers one kingsize ensuite room, a double room and a room with four single beds (two of which are pull-out children’s mattresses), all recently updated and redecorated. In addition there is a dining kitchen, family bathroom and large sitting room with french doors onto a patio area with picnic table, backing onto woodland for a peaceful meal ‘alfresco’. Penstowe Manor is a well-established holiday park with a bar / restaurant, entertainment, & takeaway kiosk. The bungalow is situated near to the entrance to the park, just a short distance off the A39, making all the local attractions easy to access. Within just a few miles, there are several fantastic beaches, all with their different features, including Sandymouth, Duckpool, Northcott Mouth, Summerleaze, Crooklets, Widemouth and many more, there really are enough beaches to visit a new one each day of your holiday and find your favourite. Some more remote beaches are only accessible on foot and you are likely to be the only people there! There are literally dozens of beaches within an hour or so of the bungalow, so if you fancy surfing, swimming, SUP’ing or just relaxing , you will be spoilt for choice. The coastal resort of Bude is around 5 minutes drive from no. 6, with its beaches & town centre with a great selection of supermarkets, independent (& ‘High Street’) shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs / bars. We even have a micropub in Bude, ‘The Barrel’. You will find many sport & recreational facilites from golf to surfing and tennis to swimming, either in the renowned Bude Sea Pool or at ‘Splash’ Swimming Pool (with waves & a flume slide). There are literally hundreds of walks in the area, including along the spectacular South West Coast Path. Within around 20 minutes drive of our property, you can reach Port Isaac, Boscastle, Tintagel, Crackington Haven, Clovelly, Hartland , Morwenstow, Welcombe, Marsland Valley Nature Reserve etc. Further afield, but still within easy driving distance you will find Rock, Polzeath, Padstow, Watergate Bay, Newquay, Exeter, Tavistock, The Eden Project, RHS Rosemoor, Falmouth, Truro and many, many more. Devon and Cornwall are also lucky to have very many art galleries, beautiful stately homes and gardens, as well as ‘tourist’ attractions such as Milky Way, The Big Sheep, Camel Creek (theme parks). Guest access The whole bungalow is for your use during your stay, including the rear patio. Parking is in shared parking bay at front of property. Other things to note CHECK-IN - You will be able to access the property after 3 p.m. on day of check-in and will find the front door key in the key safe on the front of the property, under the smaller window. Details will be sent to you after you book. Any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. CLEANING & RECYCLING - Our daily cost covers a professional changeover clean between rentals so that the bungalow is clean and tidy for your arrival. Please ensure you put rubbish in the large commercial bins at the end of the parking bay, before you leave and please either take any items for recycling to the special recycling area near the Manor building. We would be very grateful if you also do your best to leave the bungalow as you found it, neat and tidy and please let us know if you know you have damaged something. LINEN - Included in your holiday price is linen provided for up to 4 beds (max 6 people). We charge an extra £5 per person per night if there are 7 or 8 people staying, to cover the additional linen and cleaning costs. TOWELS - we provide one bath towel per person and some hand towels too. If you are staying longer than 7 days there will be extra towels. Please bring more towels if you like and please bring beach towels as these are not included. Alternatively, we can provide more beach towels at an extra cost £2.50.
