Welcome to The St Clares Hideaway. This self contained apartment has panoramic sea views from both the bedroom and the private deck, and is only minutes from the seafront. The deck overlooks our illuminated water cascade. St Clares Hideaway is close to the town centre and easy walking distance to the seafront, restaurants, pubs, shops, bus stops, Victorian promenade, cafes and wonderful walking routes. St Clares Hideaway has its own free, private parking accessed from Kings Bay Road. The space The Hideaway is a self contained apartment with fantastic sea views and a private deck; it is a perfect couples retreat to get away for a relaxing break in the fantastic seaside town of Ventnor. The Hideaway has a TV (connected to the internet, so comes with catchup TV, but bring your own codes for Amazon and Netflix) and a DAB/Bluetooth Radio. The room has full gas central heating and double glazed french doors leading out on to its own private deck. It has a small shower room with toilet, and a separate basin with stage makeup lights in the room. The Hideway is accessed via steep stairs either up from the private car park or down from the street level, so its not really suitable if you have restricted mobility. We cannot stress enough that if you have problems walking or struggle with steep stairs then please dont book the Hideaway! There are hand rails on the stairs but they are not continuous ie. there are short sections in between. Bath and hand towels are provided. So that guests may make a drink on arrival, we leave fresh milk in the fridge, tea, instant coffee and sugar, plus a bottle of wine and some local Isle of Wight biscuits! If you prefer ground coffee, a small cafetiere and coffee is also provided. There is a toaster , knives, forks and plates, bowls and spoons with napkins situated under the sink if you wish to make yourself breakfast! The Hideaway has Wi-Fi. Mobile phone reception is limited due to the position of the cottage to the nearest cell tower. To access the private car park (you will have your own car park space), go down Madiera Road, turn right into Kings Bay Road. Go all the way to the end of Kings Bay Road until you see the sea on your left, and turn right onto the gravel drive.( Signposted Private Drive. Strictly No Turning). Drive straight up the drive, and turn left at the end (signposted access St Clare ) - this takes you into the private shared car park. Park in the space next to the silver sports car. Go up the stairs, turn right at the top, and up the next flight and you'll have found it - there's a key safe outside the patio doors - open that and you can get the key to open them. Guest access Guests have access to the room, the bathroom and their own private deck with sea views. Other things to note Judith runs a beautiful home practice, which is situated right next door to the Hideaway in the main house. Judith specialises in relaxation massage and sports massage treatments. She also offers one to one personal training sessions. The Sanctury Room has a Zen like feel, incredibly relaxing with a panoramic sea view! Also if your travelling by Red Funnel ferry from Southampton Judith can offer you a 15% discount code for the ferry crossing. Just me for the Code when you have booked the Hideaway! In light of the recent pandemic the Hideaway is very private therefore perfect for social distancing . The Hideaway can be accessed without any contact with other people as there is a private entrance and key lock box. We adhere to the Airbnb cleaning and sanitation process.
