Rosy times, vacation in a half-timbered house

Welcome to Rosige Zeiten, holidays in a half-timbered house! We rent out our listed and lovingly renovated half-timbered house in the historic center of Kommern. The cottage has a closed courtyard that offers space for relaxation and recreation. We have furnished our cottage with selected old furniture that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of comfort. The individual furnishings create a cozy atmosphere that distracts from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The space Low ceilings, sloping walls and floors and steep stairs make up the character of a half-timbered house. The spacious, comfortable bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub leaves nothing to be desired. If you want to warm up by the wood-burning stove in bad weather, firewood is of course available in the courtyard. Otherwise, the underfloor heating on the ground floor ensures a sense of well-being. In summer temperatures, a robust column grill provides a holiday mood. Bicycles or e-bikes can be accommodated in our lockable shed with power supply. We will gladly provide a cot. In our reading room, guests can find a selection of Eifel thrillers and plenty of information material. Due to the age of the house and the monument protection, the staircase is steep and not equipped with a parapet (see photo of the hallway upstairs). Our guests can use the breakfast buffet at the nearby Hotel Stollen for an extra charge. Dogs may only be brought along after consultation. Then there is an additional cleaning fee of €50, which is paid in cash on site. Other things to note We provide bed linen and towels to all of our guests. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove and oven, dishwasher, kettle, cafetiero, fridge with separate freezer compartment and toaster. There is a hairdryer, bathtub and walk-in shower in the bathroom. Wood for the stove is available as well as charcoal and a lighter for the grill. If you bring a dog, an additional cleaning fee of €50 in cash is payable on site.
